I see some of Dawn of the Dead {old version} in Halflife 2, in particular the part with the gasmask swat teams at the start.Obviously war of the worlds has been an influence on HL .What do you think?

The Thing.

The zombies freakishly resemble Copper starting to be assimilated in the snow, right before he gets torched by MacReady. With the really long fingers growing out of his hands.

It's almost a mirror image to be a coincidence. They've always reminded me of the Half-life zombies.

The headcrabs were inspired by the face huggers from Alien I think

Theres been much talk that a lot of the atmosphere in the Tenements highly resembles 1984

Boot Camp in Opposing Force comes from Full Metal Jacket.

the music reminds me of the terminator

Yeah i totally agree with you, that was the first thing i thought when i saw the zombies in HL1. They look even more like Cooper now in HL2. Its definately no coincidence :D

Eli Vance is a clone of Zachary Lamb!

Somehow I doubt the combine are gonna attack you if you swear though. They're more likely to kick your brains out for just walked on the wrong street. But Eli and that dude..... Freaky:O

I'd have to go with X-files its not a movie but still, just like government military and crap, g-man = cigarrette smoking man. I just think they link up

Matrix came after Half-life.

"Everybody loves Raymond", with a touch of "Me, Myself & Irene"

Not really Matrix and half life came around at about the same time

Passion of the Christ

Gman reminds me of the Devil Lady.

Any sci fi movie where the world is ruled by a crazy goverment keeping secrets and there is always people fighting aganist it

mary kate and ashley olsen movies. the parallels are obvious once you start looking..

Well the G-Man does look like he has an eating disorder...

As mentioned, Aliens (the headcrab thing). Anyway, plz stop mentioning stupid movies in futile attempts to be funny. :)

Obviously:

1984
Alien
Breakin' 2 Electric Boogaloo

are the three major influences on HL2
