All of a sudden I have the urge to play this game. My PC specs are as follows: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.00 GHz, 3 gigs of ram and Ati Mobility Radeon 3470 HD.

The PC, your specs seem good enough to handle the game.

PC, if you like lots of bugs and trouble getting online.

360 was the best format I played it on. I suppose PS3 would be next in line, your PC will handle it...but it will make you angry.

PC, with the latest patches it's the best version.

I would prefer the PC version. I don't think you can get much higher than the consoles with those specs(GTA IV more hardware-raping than Crysis) but the PC simply has a lot of advantanges like the ability to mod, cheat(the built in ones are crap), spawn things and much more stuff.

I only have the 360 version, blame my 'old' pc. The game itself is very enjoyable, but modding ability just doubles the fun for me.

If you don't care about mods/advanced cheats I think you should get the PS3 version, as it can prevent lots of issues which come with the PC version. Also I have heard the PC control isn't optimal(haven't tried it out for myself)

PS3, better experience overall.

I gave up on the 360 version due to the shitty aiming controls when driving. The PC controls are far superior.

Stay clear of the PC version. Anything less then a Quad core and it is going to lag to hell. GTA 4 is very resource intensive, in some cases requiring more than Crysis. With your specs your going to struggle even on PS3 equivalent settings.

Don't know what you're on about. I have a Dual Core 2.4Ghz, 4gb of RAM (3.2 due to 32-bit XP), and an 8800GTS 640mb and the game runs like a dream with better graphics than any of the console versions. Also like said above, modding is far better, especially with blur tweaks that mean Niko is still sharp looking.

I think if you don't mind tweaking about a little, and are competent with a PC, the PC version with latest patches is definitely the best version.

Yeah, I only have a dual core and the game runs fine at console equivalent settings.

I played mine on the 360 but I would say PS3.

It's the closest to the 360 (aside form the DLC which isn't on either of them and personally I haven't played just cos I'm not interested) and the PC version seems to be just terrible in too many cases regardless of specs.

PC.

I have it for the PS3 and bought it again on the PC. Better graphics (by a long shot), better controls (mouse to aim ftw), better multiplayer (no crappy PS3 voice comms).

Just bought the game on a whim on Steam. Ever since I started playing Chinatown Wars I wanted to see Liberty City in all its glory. Hurry up download!

The PC with the latest patches and video drivers.

Why are most of the posts in this thread pro PC version, yet votes are pro ps3??

If you can't give a valid reason for voting, don't vote :|

Yeah it's cpu intensive, but my system has a Core2Duo E8400 and I played it on mostly maximum settings, textures high. With the latest patch and various easy to find tweaks, the game looks a.w.e.s.o.m-o and runs fine.
I saw literally 2 bugs that were minor graphics irritations, but nothing more - no crashes at all.

You would be a complete fool to buy the ps3 version. It's inferior in every aspect to other versions.

I was under the belief that the 360 and PS3 versions were the same, what's so bad about the PS3 version?

It really depends on how you want to experience it. If you want the classic PS2 controls then obviously go with PS3 and if you don't care go PC. Also i have played the PS3 version and the 360 version and i personally would say besides DLC it's about the same
