What RAM should I get?

Since I wont be able to upgrade my poor video card until christmas I have decided to spend some money on getting some more RAM. I dont want to spend more than $80. I am caught between getting a stick of good quality 256mb and getting a cheap stick of 512mb. Which should I get?

How have you determined the quality of it? What speed are you looking for?

These are both brand name 512mb PC3200 for under $80

If you want quality ram, get Mushkin 2-2-2 special or Corsair XMS XL, those are some of the best i've used/tested for AMD systems. If you're going intel and overclocking, I suggest some PC4000 ram for OCZ or A-DATA so you can run 1:1 ratio and not 5:4. If you dont have the money for LL ram, get some Kingston value ram or regular Corsair ram. Very good ram for the $$ :thumbs:
