1024x768 at least here too, I will probably set everything to max to see how it runs on my beast of a machine :) lol

That's exactly what I'm going for, except I'm using a 9800 pro 128 non-OCed.

1024x768 (I have to)

2xAA (probably)

AF = I dunno, i'll experiment

Radeon 9800pro 128 Non-OC'ed

you 9800 guys are lucky i don't think you'll ever have any serious slow down.

1024X768 is the only resolution I like playing games at, heh. I think my computer will be able to at least have medium detail on when I do this, too. :)

I'm using a 9700Pro.

1024x768 at max eyecandy looks like something only a 9600 or 9800 can handle, especially with any amount of AA. I'd actually like to see how much bumping the res down to 800x600 affects things.

i'm gonna try 1024x768 and see how it runs.
preferably i run my games @ 1280x1024, since that is my dekstop res.

1600x1200 may be big, but hey, it's me!Right now, I'm using 1600x1200x32 for my Desktop

Hehe.
1024x768 too.
9700np oc-ed to pro. I'm hoping to be able to have pretty good detail.

I have no idea what settings I'm going to use.

I'll probably just quickly click "Singleplayer" and play until I get stuck. Then I'll play about with the settings.

1024x768 with max details. Possible 2x AA or 4x AA...Dunno yet. Gonna have to fool with that.

1280x1024 + 16x anistropic filtering. no AA

when ur at 1280 or higher, u tend to forget about AA as you play. ill adjust details accordingly to get 60fps+. but 1280x1024 will never be compromised!

lol.... I hope all you 9800 card owners dont take it for granted.. I had a GeForce 1(yep the very first one) until about a month ago and now I have a 9200. Wish I could afford a better one... dunno how good of quality it can give me.. and I dont even think DX9 is supported with that card :(

Im going to play in 640x480 like I do in most of my games. I never noticed a difference with higher res except smaller gui interfaces and jagged edges on things, that my AA fixes for me anyways. Plus I get CRAZY FPS at no cost of image quality, atleast none that I could ever see. Im sure I will get great FPS with my Geforce 4 card in HL2 in DX9 with my res that low.

All 9x00 cards are dx9.

1024X768

on a side note: anyone who thinks tredos a psycho say I

I

Max Details @ 1024x768
PenisMeat 4X AA, 16X Anito Aliasing

The question is, can the 9700 Pro do it? :D

800x600 medium details
No AA or AF
I think theyre useless, youd have to be crazy to even care about jaggies or texture quality a few meteres infront of you. Image quality is the last thing I care about, I just wanna play.

Wow 640x480. Well whatever floats your boat.

But you can't get DX9 with a Geforce 4 card anyway.

...unless your whole post was a joke...then I say HAHA good sir!

I'm using a 9700Pro.

Same here, but I'm gonna turn up to full detail on almost everything.

Not according to an article i read..

The Radeon 9200 is a DX8.1 board with AGP 4X/8X support.

Although im not sure if the article was old or recent i just found it in a search.. are you sure all 9x00 cards are dx9? If it is so then I'm quite relieved lol.

Depends on what resolution works best with my computer.

Well, at the very least you will have a lot of time to take screenshots.

youd be amazed how much of a difference 16x AF has. its way more noticeable than AA. i can never go back to no AF now that ive played games with AF.

you will especially notice the difference on games with large textures like ravenshield, and of course halflife2. u can barely notice in games like halflife cause the textures are small

It may be a bit risky, but you can flash the BIOS of your 9500 and turn it into a 9700 pro.

I'm hoping I can pull 1280x1024 2xAA and 8xAF @ nothing below 30 fps, otherwise 1152x864 4xAA and 8xAF.
