Why is everyone here acting like they owe VALVe something? I mean really, its not that big of a demand to want to know the progress on a game that a lot of people have already paid for. A tentative ETA, a progress report, anything would be helpful.

Some of you are acting like VALVe cares about more than just your wallets.

Well? I paid damn good money for it, would be nice if Valve could even give us a time frame. It's possible that they have and I've missed it, I don't pay alot of attention to the HL2 scene anymore, but I did pay for it, so I would love to know when I can play it.

Just wait until they announce that a big portion of the code for it was stolen. Then you know it'll be around in a while.

Just give Valve time to actually do some work, Right now they are working on a lot of new content for CS:S, planning Half-Life 3, most likely working on Half-Life 2 expansion packs, and continuing to patch Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2 death match, and Steam.

You have to give them time to work on these things. Also don't be so nasty, none of us know when it is going to be released so Bliink's reply of "when its done" is pretty much the best answer anyone can give right now.

well you missed TF2, the game we were getting news of shortly after HL2 was released. Wether shortly means a year or a few months, who knows. I also dont think any HL3 planning and CS:S crap is gonner clash with DoD:S due to the fact that the DoD devs will be working on DoD:S and not HL3 or CS:S. If they were though, there is somin very wrong.

Well he asked a simple question and all he got was soon and when its done bullshit, so i think he got more bullshit than he gave. I mean you would have to be the thickest blank of wood on the planet to not know that the game would be released when it was done. Really, i mean i thought games were held for like a year after they were finished. You know, just for a laugh and all. Seriously though, when you ask some one or a dev when such and such is coming out and they then say "When its done". Its like been slapped in the face. I would prefer them to say, i dont know. Also soon, in the gamming industry soon never ever means soon. You get a soon for like a year or so. Basicly soon means we havent got the slightest clue when its coming out, again them saying i dont know would be more fitting. Its less bullshit from them.
