Furries are people who take on the personalities of certain animals (Badgers, Wolves, Foxes, Bears) and the such. They go to conventions and what not with other furries.

So basically, just people who pretend they are animals... Only reason I know is because a friend of mine is one... hes a Wolf... yea anyhow I think its dumb too :P
 
ohhhhhhh... didnt they have one on CSI a few weeks back? anyhoo. slightly odd, but understandable from an ugly persons point of view.

Yea they did, I didnt see the episode of CSI but my friend told me about it... im like thats GREEEAAATTT!!!

somethingawful have a huge article takeing the piss out of furys... it was one of the most hiliarious things I'v seen in my life.

Unfortunately because of my alias I can't go too far in blagging them before it backfires.

I can never really bash furries, simply because I've known a few of them. Essentially theres the main furry community, and then theres this really vocal and public group of extremists who frankly scare the hell outta me and most of the more reserved members of the community (these are the people you see on CSI). Whenever I think I've got the whole idea of who these people are something else comes to my attention and turns it on its head. I don't know if there is an answer to why some poeple are like that.
Edit: And some of Something Awful's stuff on them is damn funny. :imu:

I have nothing against Catgirls and the top site looks alright... but the bottom link just screams beastism.

It certainly is a good example of anthropomorphism (dictionary.com saves the day again) , but there's something very very wrong with it.
 
Whats 'scritch'? Omit any nasty details please. From what I've heard so far, I don't see anything wrong with Furries, as long as they don't hurt anybody/anything.
 
so furries are people who dress up like animals, and derive their sexual pleasure from "scritching"..........sounds fun :D

Actually, those are a very creepy subset. Furry is a blanket term for anyone with an deep interest in anthropomorphism.
