What The Hell Is Going On?

I managed to load the main menu finally after waiting forever, and then everything ran slow, i clicked on the Vtest and took like a minute to open the vtest dialog saying to execute the test, i clicked it and it stayed like that for hours, i came back and it was back to the dektop, now i restarted and i have been repeatedly trying to open css, but i am stuck at the reparing to play.....
screen, what the hell is this? i have a fast computer with a good vga card, is the beta really that buggy?

Well, there are several things that may have happened.

1.) You got steam'd

I'm not sure about this, but you may have been steam'd.

It may not be done updating. My roomate had CS:S done and the vst option showed up, but it was actually still downloading.

Well all funny business aside...

I suppose that it could be a problem to do with your computer. Because i really don't think it would be cause by anything like your mouse or keyboard, i guess i should narrow these down into a catagorized, alphabetical list.

1) First, I would try to think about You
2) Secondly, remember that CS:S is what you Got
3) Lastly, it might be hot and your computer room is Steamed.

If you have zonealarm installed try disabling it first - my probs went away when I did that (dont forget to turn it back on when you have finished tho)

If that doesnt work then I guess you've been steam'd

It did the same thing to me I just restarted my comp, and let steam fully load and you may want to try joining different games.

It's downloading more content without ttelling you. I guess you're just on a very very slow content server.

Sometimes steam is really slow, like the janitor could be using your content server to dl pr0n.
