Sadly, Nothing is free in this world. Sites have to pay for their upkeep and bandwidth, plus other expenses.

I would refrain from bitching, unless of course you'd be happier on another fan site.

To let you know, the cost of running this site is minimal due to the fact that it is hosted by Valve on their Steam based servers. The only expenses I could think of is the forum ($85/yr or $160/life), and some other hosting related costs which wouldnt run more than $100 to $200 a year. Unless they have something that normal hosts dont offer, and it costs them money, Munro is making money hands over fists! I still love you though, and have no objection to the ads, I just dont care.

Quit complaining, its a helluva lot better than any other forums I've been to. And think of all the hits that HL2.net is going to get over the next few days- they deserve it, really, after using only google ads for so long.
