what time do you think it is in ravenholm?

Considering it's in the middle of the summer, that we're in Russia and that it was evening when you left BME, it's probably like 23:00 or something.
 
I'd say somewhere around 1:00am to 2:00am by the time Gordan came out of ravenholm it was somewhere around 6:00am to 7:00am and he did spend quite a lot of time there.

So we're talking about when it is that you enter Ravenholm? Where's a working clock when you need one?

I dunno, it's dark when you're playing catch with Dog and light when you, uh, see the light. Personally, I kind of like the idea of Gordon spending a whole night in the town, which elegantly evokes the theme of Gordon's night in Hell.

Hmmm, so I'd put the arrival closer to midnight, I guess, and escape escape just after dawn.

Destroyer, I'm sure I could guess your age and the amount of time you have been on the internet community right here, but I won't because you might report me. :eek:

I don't think it's really that late once Gordon goes into Ravenholm, it's probably about 10:00 once he gets there, and takes him so long to get through that it's midnight when he gets in the tunnel, and he uses such great caution in the tunnel it took him 6 extra hours to make it out. ^^

Enters Ravenholm tunnel at around 21:00 or 22:00 and gets out of the tunnal at around 6:00 in my humble opinion. And how do you know it is summer in C17? Just asking... (I was always on the impression that it's autumn.. (early autumn))

Also I would like to ask, what do you think when starts EP1 and when finishes? Like... it's getting night in HL2 in the end, and it was said, that EP1 starts right after HL2... so it's night while you are in the citadel, and in chapter Lowlife... but why would Alyx say that "I hope it's still light out there" then? Maybe you spend a half day in the Citadel and in the chapters after it.. like from 20:00 to next day 14:00 then you go into the hospital, and it's 20:00 again when you kill the strider and leave C17 with Alyx... I don't know, it seems odd for me. What do you think?

Technically, it's the 24 hour clock. Those damned europeons use it. Our military uses it as well, because it is easier to discern between am and pm. Say, your seargent tells you to get up at 4 o'clock, how would you know if it was am or pm? You think: Oh, well he makes me get up early: so you get up in the AM. Uh oh. He wanted you to sleep in!
400 hours makes so much moer sense.

Ep 1 only takes place over the span of a few hours. Theres no way that they would have spent that much time in the citadel. Also, Gordon has been unconscious for we don't know how long. Alyx hints about this "We've been trying to reach him for hours!" I'm sure she wouldn't say that if it were just a few minutes after Gordon killed breen. :)

Just helpful knowledge, don't take anything in there to heart. :D

And someone asked about the sky texture in the Xbox vs pc, but I think they look the same.

I got the impression of HL2 events taking place in autumn as well. When you arrive to the shorepoint station, Alyx suggests that they (rebels) let Gordon take the buggy they left there last summer. She then says it has been over a year since they last travelled across the coastline but it probably hasn't become any safer. Oh and yes, I've been replaying Highway 17 today.

...On-topic I'd say it is nearly midnight should Gordon climb the ladder up to Ravenholm, where he conveniently spends the whole night up till dawn.
 
When you go in right after BME it's quite light still, and when you come out it's morning light, so I'd say he spent the whole night there.

its never nighttime in that game.....the whole course of the game takes 1 day. they awake from being unconcious in the morning and go straight to the citadel. its still kind of morning when they get out. when they are on the train its late afternoon. theres no way its that late and still light out when they kill the strider.

See, I always thought it was autumn too. I doubt anybody would be wearing beanies in the middle of summer. not to mention all the leaves on the ground in the little park in point insertion.
