ATi Radeon 9800 Pro
Nvidia FX 5700


Witch would be the best, and that will last.
If not what would you recomend, my budget is 250 USD

Absolutely no competition - 9800 Pro.

The 9800 Pro is a no brainer.
The 9600XT will even pass the FX 5700.

It's a beast.

If you wait for the new $200 6600 GT AGP, not only does it surpass the 9800pro in performance, it beats the freakin 9800xt. and its brand new, not a year old. heh.

I scored my ASUS 9800XT off of ebay for about $283 shipped, Brand new. Why not spend the little extra cash and get the XT?

:dozey: Yes, it is better than 9800 Pro, but don't waste your money. The performance from a 9800 XT and 9800 Pro isn't even THAT great, now performance from 9800 XT to a x800 Pro is GREAT. Anyways just stick between the 9800 Pro, since you narrowed yer choices between 9800 Pro and 5700.
