how long would it have to be delayed for you to leave here?

a TBA or 2005 release date. that would also motif me to warez the game.

now wait for all the fanboys to whine about stealing software.

whine all you want guys it aint gonna stop. i buy games i like, 9 out of 10 games are crap and not worth buying and you know it

Errr... I'm not sure... Anything going into 2005 would probably make me come here less frequently...

BTW, is that nimh as in "NiMH battery", or "National Institute of Mental Health"?

what is the date? i didnt know they announced one.

Then that would be the "National Institute of Mental Health" :E.

I'm a book nut.

The ONLY thing that would get me to leave these forums was if noone where posting anymore, if I got banned or if something else got me using all my time on that instead.

I simply enjoy the convo with ppl here, and not just the wait for new info. If it was that my post count would be like 10 or so...

A post from me might rare these days, but I don't think I'd leave these forums. Well, unless I had a family crisis or something similarly life changing :P

A huge delay (which will probably be announced soon) and Doom 3 being released.

I'd be outta here quicker than you could say "Mr-Fusion? That's guy was a wanker..."

well, i spend all my time in OT anyway, so i don't really care that much personally.. what is this delay you speak of anyway? what's being delayed? what?? anyway.. if everyone left and i had no one left to make fun of, i'd probably fade away eventually..

I agree!

Note to people who are gonna whine at me: I am rubber you are glue, what bounces off me sticks to you. like poop.

SO WATCH IT! >_<

ontopic, I would get hl2 whenever it comes out, I was looking forward to it back when it looked like a cool game, but with everything comeing out lately, far cry doom 3 and stalker, its just anouther normall game. I doubt I would leave the forum, as i only post in offtopic anyhow..

Surely you must see the logic that follows on? If a game is crap...then don't download it. Simple.

Anyway, like timmy, i stay in Off topic most of the time, so the delay hasnt really had much of an effect on how much i come here.

The rats of nimh were cool. If im thinking of the right thing anyway, i mean the way they had the underground home and everything.

the only reason games are pirated is due to money factors. but i'm not gonna hijack the thread...

if i got banned then obviously i'd leave. i come here more out of habit than anything. i can't remember the last time i had an actual HL2 related discussion, i think mostly headcrabs and zombies spend all their time in the HL2 forum, but once you've become tired of that you move over to off-topic, which is where all the fun is happening!

the secret of nihm was cool.. i haven't read the book though (i hear it's much better than the movie) on a vaguely related note, the book watership down is awesome, but the moive was lame :/

I don't hang on these boards for HL2 anymore, that's what the main page is for. Off-topic all the way!

Heheh

[Book Nut mode]

Actually, Lil' timmy, all three books were very good. The movie has it's good points, but the books are definately better. More plot.

I come here for the enlightened conversation (snicker). I stopped caring about halflife2.. many months ago... tis a sad tale, yes. so i guess i'll be leaving when i move in with my girlfriend (about 2 years from now i think). think i can get strider by then? heh.

p.s. books rule!! woooooo!

Yeah the book was much more interesting. We did the first book at school when i was about 11. I never got to really read the next book, because we didnt have it at school. I only got to glance at a few pages.

I won't leave, I am sticking here until HL3 comes out. :E

April 2004. Oh wait...
Really anything along the lines of T, B, or A would make me leave faster than you can spell,"Supercalifragalisticexpealidocius".

Ugh! Rats of Nihm! I read that in 4th grade and hate it so MUCH! I threw it accross the room.

i never read rats of nimh. i think i read like a 2-pg. excerpt for some standardized test, and that's about all.

what would it take for me to leave? umm if i find something better to do with my time :) *glances at homework*.... nope nothing better to do with my time. i usually just stay in off-topic but sometimes i look in hl2 discussion just to see if there's anything interesting in there.

The longer it's delayed, the more reasons to stay. For example, I have a lot of respect for DNF fans who are still holding out. :)

I'm not neccisarily still here for the game. I just like having a nice lil community to come and chat in. This is doing that just fine, so stay here I shall. As long as there are forums and people still postin here, there isnt any reason I shouldnt post here.

What would it take for me to hardly come here? a delay a week before the game is supposed to come out. oops.
its alright tho, shit happens.

What would it take to make me leave? A social life.

Seriously, when I first joined I spent all my time in the HL2 forums, but I soon realised off-topic is where the fun is. I like the comunity here, so I doubt i'd leave because of another delay. Maybe a craving to pass my GCSE's could force me away..... Naah. :)

I'm staying till Munro leaves. And then I'm going to live at his house and pretend he runs my life and ask him to moderate it for me

i just bought a car, so i'll be spending alot of time on that 4 awhile. i'll still hang around here 4 awhile though. ;)

Until the url changes to www.halflife3.net where we discuss the missed releasedate of 30th july 2007 and where we compare the HL3 engine with that of Doom 4's :naughty:

I would never leave these forums. I love this place. The off topic is great and theres the art contest. And every couple of days there's some new emails from valve.
