Man of few words, man of great talents.

That'n is a good'n

What do you think of Gordon?

I think Gordon is a pretty cool guy, Eh kicks crap out of zombies and doesn't afraid of anything.

A bumbling, catastrophe-prone relic skating by on luck, the guidance of others, and popularity gained through a MIT degree and a position he held 20 years ago that is no longer of any consequence. He is nothing more than an average man in a nigh-indestructable suit. He'll probably bring about the destruction of mankind.

He's cool because he can last days without eating or drinking..

He's only good because Valve made him good lets be honest, put him in the real world and he's toast.

I am surprised how he can keep fighting but cant rest. I mean, he goes through the whole day fighting the combine, then the whole night fighting zombies in Ravenholm. Then the next day heading towards Nova Prospect. He is just brilliant. So yeah, Gordon is a great guy.

i really admire him.
He can go days without taking a piss.

i think the reason we call games games is the fact that they arent like real life, cmon would you want to play half life where every hour and a half u had to take a first person sh*t?
or find a safe spot for the screen to go blank for a while whilst he sleeps?
or perhaps watch as some 3D burger gets closer and closer to the screen where his mouth would be :p
if you like that, play the sims xD
but gordan is teh man.

I think it is fairly easy to see that Gordon Freeman is going to end up being the major bad guy behind everything;
I mean the combine don't exactly put much effort into stopping him do they; just a couple of hundred gunships and striders;
Think of how many Gunships and Striders they have under there command, and how few of them they actually set against you.

He will turn out to be spy working for the advisors - it would be a plot reminiscent of Total Recall.

I think that Gordon Freeman actually died during the Resonance Cascade...the character we've been playing all this time is actually his glasses, which are using their psychic power to re-animate his corpse.

Think about it, why else would his glasses never fall off despite all the violent movements and actions he experiences? This would also explain why he never has to eat/sleep/go to the bathroom/etc.

Laugh at me now, but you'll all see with Episode Three...(it rhymes!)

During HL2, after exiting the Ravenholm mine, I put Gordon in a corner where there were no enemies and good cover, and I had him "sleep." By that I mean I went to sleep. When I got up a few hours later, it was like Gordon also slept. If the player is Gordon Freeman, our breaks are his breaks.

Welcome to the party, Gordon.

I laughed uncontrollably

"Dammit, wheres the crapper around here? I gotta CRAP"

There's a toilet in the suit. He's learned to relieve himself in the middle of combat. "Run and gun".

Just pretty cool? Saved the world/humanity a few times, stopped the bad guys, saved Alyx...but just pretty cool.

hey TC, look at the first post in the thread after OP. yeah. yeah.

yeah.

Aside from the eating, sleeping, taking a dump, taking a leak, super healing, multi-weapon carrying and whatever else someone is going to point out that Gordon does and doesn't do, I think he is what we would like to be in the same situation. A somewhat normal person, in totally abnormal situations, achieving the seemingly unachievable, against seemingly insurmountable odds. Or, do you wanna be the person in the corner loosing all bodily functions the first time you see a headcrab?
Besides being pretty damn lucky at times, he is one brave, hardcore, azzkicken', geek glasses wearing, ballsy, mean bastard .
Not to mention, I'm pretty sure Alyx has a crush on him...(Barney is right, he is a lucky dog....)

but what if i took a crap while gordon was sitting in the car with alyx? :hmph:

I think Gordon kicks major ass. I wonder what his voice sounds like. I hope it's not one of those cheesy deep ones.

Freeman is just an average guy with the ability to think outside the box. He is also decisive. His ability to think and react quickly to any situation he finds himself in is the only thing that has kept him alive up to this point. That and his hazard suit.

When you're talking about Gordon aren't you actually talking about yourselves? Since you're playing him all the time. So you're actually blowing your own horn...nevermind.

This.

If I am Gordon, they better not make the Alyx relationship canon. The woman reminds me of my sister. It would be weird.

OMG ****ing awes pinkle :D

and narvi, it might be wierd for you :naughty:

I'm tempted to agree. I mean, I thought things were a little silly in HL2 and EP1, but EP2 takes it to new levels. As Freeman, the player is compelled to act in a truly ridiculous manner at frequent junctures. Hey, a crowbar that is clearly preventing a lift from falling down! I guess I'll just GRAB IT LOL

You forget about his innate ability to go back in time with all memory of his previous attempt.

How the crap can he be geeky? we have never heard him speak , he has never done anything geeky (like that kid who made all that halo crap over in the images and flash forum).

I was trying to guess who it would be who bumped this, and what a surprise, it's alyxvance!!!!
