Whats a good keyboard

Im getting tired of mine, and some of the letters are wearing off, and its also smaller keys than other keyboards, its a uhh...Millennium is whatit says on the keyboard...forgot the full name, but its time for a new keyboard

it doesnt have to be anything special, just one that is atleast decent and hopefully not going to spend more than 25 dollars

any suggestions?

Cordless or with cord?

Flat or non flat?

Fancy features?

I kinda like the IBM keyboards just because they are simple compared to these new ones. I dont really need volume controls and shit like that on my keyboard because I have my remote sitting beside me all the time.

I cant find any IBM keyboards anymore though. I guess they got out of it. Newegg or zipzoomfly doesnt sell them.

Get the LOgitech Elite Keyboard ...ITS THE BOMB ...U can get the combo that comes with the MX700 mouse and all wireless

Same as sonduren said (Logitech elite owns)but wireless with the wireless mouse will be 60-70 dollars, i have the version with the cord, still kicks ass, you can get it at amazon for 26.59

Its really cool cuz of all the Inav keys, theres an email shortcut, messenger, webcam, search, favorites, and my home, all of which are separate keys from the letters, also its got a mouse style scroller with a "back" button and an internet page open button, so you dont even really need a mouse to surf the net, unless to wanna click links, its really nice they showed it on tech tv, they said highly recomended so i bought it, it also is PS2 compatible

I'm a fan of Microsoft keyboards. They have a feel to them that most other keyboards don't have. And they are fairly cheap too.

Does anyone else's keyboard freak out when you press more than three buttons? Walking and strafing in CS becomes difficult when this happens.

Ya microsoft keyboards are nice I have one along with my IBM keyboard. The only problem I have with the microsoft one is the ctrl button is not long enough so my finger slips off sometimes when playing games.

Everyone in these forums must really mistreat their hardware. I have never had any problems with keyboards breaking, mouse pads being worthless after 6 months, graphics cards overheating within 3 months, speakers blowing up after only having them for a week. You all are cursed.
But man just because your sisters keyboard broke it doesnt mean that all microsoft keyboards are a pos.

I love my Logitech keyboard (wireless) but if I had to buy a 20$ keyboard I'd buy this. That keyboard costs 19.99 retail at Compusa, by the way.
It's a USB keyboard and it's very thin with a small row of buttons above the numbers.

Why dont you go read some of the reviews on newegg. Some people have said they prefer the microsoft over logitech even though they own them both. Other people have said they prefer logitech over microsoft even though they own both. But you are just being ignorant with the way that you put logitech owns microsoft because microsoft makes operating systems and logitech has been in the keyboard business longer.
Both companies make great keyboards regardless but you cant just compare the two like you did. You have to take into account things like f-lock, sticky keys (dont pop out fast enough), can you press more then 3 buttons at a time, multimedia controls and other things like that.

I never said microsoft is better then logitech. But you are stupid for writing microsoft of as making shit keyboards because they make operating systems. Just ignorant. Nearly every single feature you find on a logitech keyboard you will find on a microsoft. It doesnt matter if logitech has been making keyboard longer then microsoft. Some of the biggest games of all time for instance farcry came from a developer no one ever heard of. And I never said go get a microsoft keyboard I said I have one there is a big difference there. Both companies make great keyboards so you cant really go wrong with either one you buy. But just because one has been making keyboards longer then the other doesnt mean shit. (other then the fact that the may have more experience. But that doesnt always mean they will put out a great product)

And microsoft makes more then good operating systems just so we are clear on that. Have you heard of something called the XBOX?
