Whats coming up?

E3 is over, has passed, 2/3 new Hl2 vids were released and no release date yet. What is sheduled to come out in these coming weeks? any new HL2 content? Benchmark? New Hires Vids? Pics? Interviews?(NEW).

What else is left to reveal before HL2 is revealed in Shops?

I'll bet they release the E3 videos on Steam sometime in the near future.

As soon as they hit beta, which should be within a week or two (god willing) they will be able to give a date, and id expect info on the release of those Source Ports to, hopefully.

hopefully they give a new video to view, they surprise us with a early release demo (playable), and then they give us a heartattack by releasing it july 2nd just out of spite for wal-mart ( a.k.a. wally world)

^^ I doubt they'll give us a demo at all. There was no official demo for HL (HL Uplink was not official).

what on earth makes you say uplink wasn't official? valve made it, it was a demo.

It was released after the initial halflife release to get more people interested.

I would say they'd do the same for hl2

If say HL2 reaches beta this week, how long until it is shipped? 1 month? thats how long it took farcry. In February reached beta and was released in last week of March.
You guys think it might be the same for HL2?

If HL2 reaches beta this week..(which is doubtful) it should not take long for Valve to announce gold for Half-life 2. But even if they finish early..valve said summer so they will release it in summer.

I think the next best thing would be HL2 itself, ASAP. No screwin' around with some foreplay of binks and benchmarks...

If they finish early I'm quite sure they will put it out immediately. In my opinion it seems like it would change the opinion of all the people mad about the delay and encourage them to take a look at Valve in a new light.

I'd like a benchmark. I'd like to know how it will run before I buy the game. Incase a hardware upgrade is needed (Which I don't think it should). Even if it runs good I have my eyes on an x800 because I can afford it and it'd be nice to have a high end something on my pooter.
