Wasn't HL2 supposed to bundled with the 9800XT?

Other ATI related news; the 9800SE and 9800XT lines are starting to hit store shelves at certain vendors. Unfortunately, a lot of information is still under NDA, but you can assure yourselves we will have more to come!

Perhaps they're 'accelerating' their release schedule in light of the intense demand for Radeons that anandtech is reporting. Why sell people 9800 Pros for $310 when you could sell them 9800 XTs for $400?

Yea, I agree with his quote. Indeed they could be selling the cards, but not necessarily bundeled with Half Life 2.

they should have a motherboard/cpu/videocard/halflife2 package. cause some dumb people will get the package and leave their 1.0ghz cpu and it will be chunko-rama framerates

Well I'm not seeing the XT at any online vendors, so it appears like anandtech was probably jumping the gun a bit. They were mentioning their NDA so maybe the XT is going to be announced very soon.
