Whats this for ?

I am a way through half-life 2 and I have started to pick up what look like grenades, but I have no idea what weapon they are for ?

When I pick them up I get a symbol that looks like a lasso in a circle ????? Can anyone tell me what weapon uses these and I'll go looking for it :naughty:

Oh, that. It is the secondary fire of the Irifle. I can be more accurate if you supplied pitcures.

The I rifles secondary fire is a burst of energy basically incinerating all enemies in its path but be forewarned. On HL2DM, people can catch them with the manipulator and lauch them back

I remember thinking the same thing. When you get it, select your pulse rifle (I gun - the one that the Combines use) and use the right mouse button to fire. Note: this weapon is my favorite - the only weapon that you can wield that can frag an enemy. Somebody please correct me if that is in fact wrong. Also note: the projectile will bounce around a lot and may very well come back at you for a nasty bite. It'll give the Striders a hard time too, but is a waste of a good anti-personnell bullet. I actually fragged a Strider with one of these - I picked up the pieces with the gravity gun and threw them at other striders. Fire one into a room full of combine at an angle such that it'll ricochet around the room, and your work is done.
