When the videos are up, so many people download them that it chokes the bandwith for the entire HL2.net site (including forums). If you ever come to these forums and it takes 5 minutes to load a page, its because the videos are back up. :dozey:

What is a total failure? I don't exactly see many (if any) fansites hosting HL2 Bink Videos. You can easily find the HL2 Bink videos on the net. Maybe you should stop complaining so much.

They put the videos back up once in a while (still fine tuning the servers and whatnot). That should answer your question. For the record, you are the one who is flaming other people.
