I think I'll just grab another 512DDR chip ([EDIT] LOL I said ship...) and shove it in next to my other... then I just need to update my card. I'm running about a 2ghz system here, and I'm thinking of switching to ATI. Would it be worth getting a 9700 or should I stick to 9500. I've been told 9800 would be too powerful to get the full benefit from my specs anyways... and what's this pro thing?

Dell comp
P4 3.06 Ghz
Radeon 9700nonpro
512 mb ddr ram
120gb hd
dvd player cd burner
mobo unknown

fireball i bet you could have built that same system for almost 1/2 the price.

nope i got it for half the price, dont ask me how, its kind of complicated but i figured it all out beforehand, trust me

all ill say is that it has to do with taxes

Logitech 5.1 Speakers with Subwoofer
40GB Hard Drive
48*10*40 CD-RW Drive
Optical Mouse
Logitech Elite Keyboard
17" EV700 Gateway Monitor

GTS is the best GF 2.

Dell's cheaper cards ie the non pro radeons are only underclocked, i find that odd since they charge 180 less for it. When i buy it i just may over clock it to default pro speeds.

I have my GeForce 3 Ti200 which I got for free, so I can't really complain.

AMD XP 1600+ @ 1.4GHz
512 DDRAM

you call 12x write OLD ?? i got 8x and im happy lol

I got my 48x write real cheap. You should consider getting another if you copy lots like me :)

Okay so I figured this out. Here's my current specs -

AMD Athlon XP 2200+ @ 1.8ghz
512mb DDR Ram
GeForce MX 440 64mb
Megabyte Mobo w/ onboard Soundcard

Ima gets me another 512 DDR chip, which brings it to a gig. Then, when HL2 is close to release, and the price has come down some, I'll get my hands on a 3ghz system, AMD prefferably (does the 3200+ run at the speed it says it does?), and a Radeon 9500 - 9800 pro. Sound good?

PC1:

P2 366mhz
288MB SDram
ATI Rage Pro 4mb!! HAHAHAHA
crappy 6gb HDD

PC2:

AMD 1.1ghz
288 SDRam
ATI Radeon 9000 pro 128mb of DDR ram!!! w00t!!
Crappy 20gb HDD

Logitec Wireless Optical Elite Duo (pwnz0r)

Don't you know Dual Elites are for noobs???

Sorry I was bored...

AMD Athlon XP 1800
ASUS A7V333 w/ raid and Onboard Dolby 5.1
Leadtek GeForce 4 ti 4800
17" relysis monitor
80Gb Western Digital Caviar 7200rpm Special Edition
Cd-Rw (Cant remember the speeds)
256 ddr ram
Windows XP Professional

got a new maxtor 120 gig liquid drive

Pc Spec

EPOX Motherboard
Intel P4 3.0e 800fsb
1gb DDR 400
Radeon 9600pro 128mb DDR Graphics card
40gb Maxtor Hard Disk
16x DVD Rom
12x Cd Writer/Rewriter
Soundblaster Audigy 5.1
Will be replacing the Hard Disk with a Maxtor Diamond 120gb SATA Drive. Motherboard can support these.

Also changing the graphics card to a Radeon 9800 256MB Pro or XT. Not quite decided. the 9600 pro runs it smoothly though.
