are your impressions changing rapidly about Doom 3 ?

Is Far Cry more than it seems to be ?

Will HL2 still deliver ?

I stand nowhere, too busy to care, really.
 
I'm about where I was months ago... except I know I'm gonna get UT2004 and maybe even Far Cry (I'll see how the multiplayer demo is, and the reviews) and that Painkiller is really, really, really crappy. STALKER has yet to show me anything of note, so that's just 'eh'. I still think Doom III and Half-Life 2 will be excellent...

edit: Didn't see the poll. :p I vote HL2 will OWN!

Both HL2 and D3 look good... FC is possibly one of the worst games I've played all year.
 
What is FarCry like? I never got the demo and don't plan on.
 
we all know halflife 2 will be the daddy of fps (when it comes out :rolling: ) and with all the great mod community we have this game is going to be at the top of my list for a while yet.
 
Half Life 2 Will own, Doom 3 will Rock, Farcry is gonna be a blast and Battlefield:Vietnam is making me moist,

DOOM III, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and HL2 are the 3 big ones for me.

gonna buy four games this year, those mentioned above + BF Vietnam

far cry = not very impressed.
 
I still give Doom3 10* while HL2 no less than 9.8*

HL2 will own, i just downloaded the Gamespy video with the Strider, Buggy clip and the tech demo clips, all of which are not available to download in Bink format. They are totally freakin awesome. As soon as i saw the strider walk under that bridge i knew from that second that HL2 is going to be the game that will stand out the most (Doom 3 will be on par with Half Life 2 for sure, if iD dont totally screw it up, which i doubt they will)
 
Doom III will rule my life a couple of days for sure...
 
I think you should have added other titles in that list, like painkiller, stalker, ut2k4, sims2, etc.

Yea me too. Either way Im waiting til most of the prices go down, the only 2 Im wanting to get immediately is ut2k4 and hl2. All the others can wait as far as Im concerned :naughty:
 
All those games will be good, although i voted for HL2, but i really enjoyed farcry although it is more of a one time thing for me, not repetetive fun, and im sure i'll play doom3 for days on end, but in the end, everyone knows that the majority of our time will end up in HL2, even if it is in the mods.

And why didnt you own some of the other games that are coming out, or where you going for the big powerhouse games.

And why didnt you put Counter Strike Condition Zero, haha, nope just kidding, that was a big joke.
 
just read the PCZone review of Far Cry, it got 93%...but all three of those will be good anyway.
 
I think it's between HL2 and Farcry. Farcry looks ALOT better then Doom3. (The indoors sections) and boast some amazing, and at times creepy, gameplay.

HL2...well, need I say more?
 
HL2 will deliver, but I'm still doubting about how it will hit the community, like a bomb and shocking the whole gaming scene, or just an good/excellent game.

Doom 3 will still be a very nice game, scary and all, and will probably surprise us with it's multiplayer (apparently more fun than it sounds)

Far Cry is one of the biggest disappointments this year, and the year is still young. To me it's Unreal 2 and Black&White all over again.

CS:CZ will come with 'exclusive HL2 material' so that's either the rest of the remaining bink video's, the old ones we know (and love) or totally new material (which I highly doubt)
 
HL2 is the only one i can definately not wait for, Far Cry looks boring and samey (from the demo at least) and i would probably play Doom Drei more that Far Cry, but not as much as HL2 :)

Can anyone remember whos sig this was?

Hl2....No really, it just has a bigger Fan Base. As far as which games is best, well i tihnk Halflife2 will be, but Doom 3 and Far Cry will be fantastic in their own right. It just seems that Hl2 will have that extra, feeling, that halflife did. You know what i mean, its just something that cant be described. Its the way you move and the way everything happens in halflife. It just all seems so right, even if it is out of date now.

I don't see the reasoning behind the whole "Which game will own the most?" Because I imagine that the only reason people would do that is because they don't have enough cash to get all the good games so they have to choose 1. I'm definitly getting HL2 and Doom 3 (maybe Stalker...most likely) I think they are all going to knock us on our asses. So, in the end...isn't that what really matters?
 
Right now I have to be on the HL2 side because they are focusing most on things that I personally look forward to most in games: storytelling, gameplay, multiplayer/mods.
I'm one of those who'll only be getting one game in the next while.
