i'm clicking on BT link and he tracker says there are 1000+ seeds... i say "yay, this will go fast" i wake up this morning and it's at 12 percent with 1 seed... ONE SEED! with my upload constantly exceeding my download.... is there a way to fix this?

Yeah, im wondering the same thing? WHYY is it soo slooowww? anyone know a fix?

If your upload is set to high it will congest your download, which means you will download very very slow. If a file is getting tons of hits then it will be slow because the tracker cant handle it.

Set your upload to dialup no matter what connection you have. And dont use the orgianal bt client, use Bt++/Burst/ or shadows

Actually, I find that Azureus (another client) is very very fast. If you have a firewall and/or router, make sure the ports that bittorrent is using are either open or forwarded.

I used the BitTorrent experimental client...3.2 I think; I had the upload set to infinite and I got pretty good download speeds.

Although I think my college just blocked ports because now I can't dl off of KazaaLite and I can't use BitTorrent anymore....owned

Any of you guys know how to fix this?

KAZAA LITE!!! the only kazaa i'll touch...... anyway... if you are behind a router you can always reset it with a button on the back :D
if you are behind a firewall... beats the hell outta me

someone tell me how to open the bit torrent ports plz!!! i have a router and its going slow... i have no idea about anything when it comes to ports cause i just dont help yeah thnx plz help yeah plz!

what company router do you have? you need to find the ip address of your router, type it into your broswer, log in w/ ur pw and user name, then find the section called "port forwarding" and opne the ports there.

wot the hell is bit torrent? :s sorry for the n00b style question but i dunno
