and that wheelchair i'm pretty sure i could model it below 500 aswell and still look nice from closeby, alpha channels do wonders, so do bumpmaps or normal maps, learn them (i don't know how to normal map myself yet.. but i will some day :p )


Any chance you could enlighten us on how to make a texture like one of your dumpsters please? ...they all look awsome:)
 
like i said, i'm a phototexturer, i look for some picture or take my own, and then i edit the picture (sometimes a lot) and get them in place. The green color of the containers was the real color, i made the red/blue ones myself. Of course the smaller detail work like edges and stuff or highlights is done in photoshop to match the model, thats how i work.
 
oh, so they're not as pwnage as i thot :p. still, the effect is awesome even if they are photos.
