my steam never asked me to type a cd key. I think i have to convert but how do u convert again

JUST TYPE IN THE BLOODY KEY.

YOU HAVE TO HAVE A KEY FOR STEAM TO WORK! IT'S NOT BETA ANYMORE YOU DOLT.

If you had HL previous installation Steam will get the cd-key from the registry, you don't have to type anything.
