When will the E3 2004 videos be released?

Does anyone have an inkling of an idea when the Half-life 2 videos at e3 2004 will be released on the internet, as I'm busy during e3 and can't watch any live video streams.

This weekend no doubt, but they will probably all be shakey came vids :(

Don't worry. I'm sure you'll get the information here as soon as the videos start spreading in the net. I would guess something like Gamespot or IGN though to be the first ones to have videos

lol, don't worry about where to get them.. you will find them even if you didn't search for them ;p

The large commercial sites like IGN Gamespy, GameSpot will be the first to be hosting videos for download. Once they're online we'll either mirror them or link to them on the front page.

After that, though I don't know how long after, Valve will probably host the BINK videos. They might be released over Steam again like last year or just plonked on their Steam Powered websites like the 2003 ones have been. We'll just have to be patient for a while.

EDIT: Changed the title for you to avoid disappointment :)

OK listen...

This is to everyone that posts on these boards, or any forums for that matter. When you title your thread, try putting it into context of what you're actually going to say. Don't title your thread "Totally Awesome e3 MOVIES!!!" and then ask, "hey, anyone know where I can download cool things?"

I'm not saying this directly to you Cyperion so don't take offense. It's just that I'm so sick of clicking on threads to get information/an interesting discussion just to read someone's one liner comment.

If you have a question, it's best to make it your title. For instance, I want to find the e3 videos because I'll be busy during release. I make a post to ask where I can get them. I title the thread "Where can I find the e3 2004 videos." Now, when people come into my forum post, they'll know what they're clicking on and then won't be pissed if it's not what they were looking for because they'd be dumb to click on and expect anything more than a question.

Thanks.

Yeah, it sure is tough hitting the back button once you realize its a different thread

The real question is when Valve plans on releasing the binks. There's no real reason why they can't do it right after E3 ends, but last time it took months.

Other than that, we'll probably:

1) First hear about the presentations from E3 attendees
2) Then maybe get shakeycam video that will be out by the weekend (or maybe a bit later)

Careful how you say that. ;)
It almost sounded like it was said with the "Valve owes me" attitude. lol

valve owes me everything.

I think the first videos will come out after the first day of E3.

Trust me, the shaky cam vids will come out max 12 hours after the recording itself.

i say less. Gamespot will be live on the scene, and I'm betting we'll have them by midday tomorrow. (US Time, anywa)

Why do people call them "shaky cam" vids? The camera didn't shake at all from the big 25 minute video. They use a tripod.
Just say like, "screened", or "non bink"

EDIT: And what is this live feed you speak of?
I am going to be listening to HL radio, they are already set up there, ready to broadcast live starting at 8pm eastern tommorow. They will also be interveiwing Gabe Newell. :)

if your wondering on where to find your e3 info just look at that "three days left till e3, where will you get your media" thread i started

Shaky Cam is when a video has been filmed with a camera, and is not the original.

shaky cam is more of an internet wide term. First started by people who went to movies and recorded feature films and then distributed them on IRC.

thus the earlier form of bootleging movies

:x Since I am in High school, I have school tommorow, I can't attend E3. I am counting on you guys to show me what's up, my life is in your hands!

yea same here, knowing how desperate i am i'll probably skip class altogether and just head to library and get the vids from a library school comp

Yeah I have to take the AP Government test tomorrow. I guess I'll check around 3pm CST to see what's going on with any new hl2 news

i have it, i'll just ask to go to the library on every one of my classes

Maybe now that theres an official hl2 site, the new vids (in bink form hopefully) will be put onto the site for us to view on the day of E3.

Well I can hope.

i would think that the official release will be shortly after E3 but shaky cam will be on within hours of the video being shown.

shit my speakers are broken, could someone do a breakdown for us poor souls please?

Is it just me or is that movie awefully like the pre-e3 interview? I'll go download it and see how it is though, thanks.

I forgot I had that interview DLed.. pretty informative

it's a pretty good interview. for all you doug haters, maybe you'll stop hating him? but ahh well, it is a good video to watch. 10 minutes long, so i'm sure some of what's in it is new info to some people. 4/5 i give it

Yeah, I felt a little bad for being so harsh on Doug after watching that.. he seems like a cool guy :)
Ah well, the interview was enjoyable, no new information though

different from the pre-e3 interview from a while ago?

Dunno.. he was in an orange room, talking about HL2. There was a cardboard cutout of Gordon behind him

nope... those are the pre-e3 interviews... possibly as old as april.
