When will Valve make their next announcement?

I remember last week I was trying to make a thread about how I thought HL2 was really close. In the thread I went on to talk about how it literally felt right, how it felt sooo close, and that I expected a release REALLY soon. But every time I tried to post the thread, I would go to a white screen in IE. I couldn't post any new threads. SO I gave up. Today, I said, "wow good thing that thread didnt go through, because HL2 is very far away lol". So I mean, whats next? The only thing I'm looking forward too from Valve now, is an announcement about whats going on. I know they don't tell us much to begin with, but they should give us a summary on whats going on with them and Vivendi. What state the RC is in. How bug testing went, and other things. They really tell us nothing. We have to get our news from other websites. It's so crazy. SO when do you guys think Valve is going to make their next announcement in regards to the status of HL2. Not nessecarily the release, but the state of the game, and how things look for the coming weeks.

I was hoping for educated guesses. Valve won't tell me a damn thing! Especially lately.

I'd expect nothing expect a gold announcement which will probably occur in the next few weeks. Maybe next week. Hopefully a release date will occur at the same time as a gold announcement.

I think if we go a months, its all tied in to the court case. Right now I feel it it wasnt for the suit, the game would already be gold.

I really doubt that. The RC probably just got rejected. There's no conspiracy on Vivendi's part to not release HL2 you know, they want it out just as much as Valve.

That's a matter of debate. I think waiting and seeing what happens is probably the best thing to do. Who knows, there could be an announcement next week saying that Half-Life 2 is coming out in November.

Yeah right now it could go either way. But Valve should tell us.
