Where Do We Go From Here?

Do you think that this release of DM will usher in more new mods? The original HL DM unleased classics such as CS and DoD, but I'm thinking that the mods for HL2 wont be as great because people expect too much this time around.

On the contrary, while there were some great mods for HL1, I think Source is capable of so much more! If there is one thig that this official (albeit limited) DM mod shows, it is that mod teams can look beyond the tradtionally accepted limits of FPS mods of yesterday. The only limiting factor is the imagination of the mod teams.

However, I'd suggest that with the official support for CS:S and (soon) DoD:S, there won't be much public call for other counter-terrorism or WWII themed mods. I think we're all crying out for a bit of orginality!
