they promised a huge update for yesterday and I am still waiting..
any news ? ):

Somebody said somewhere that it might be the week of the 20th. Or at least that's about the only way you can interpret what was said, based on Valve's past history of delivery dates.

but I have holiday this week ))): I want to play goldrush before it end

No. Valve's week starts on a Sunday. So if they don't release the update between now and Saturday, only then shall you be allowed to go ape-shit.

It will be sometime this week.

If I had to guess I'd say Wednesday.

That week ended yesterday.

Why do some people think this? I guess they must be kids who don't get taught what the first day of the week is in school anymore? Or maybe they're atheists with a chip on their shoulder who go around tagging everything BCE? LOL!:LOL:

That week ended yesterday.
In Sweden yes but the rest of the world starts the week off on Sunday. For the country that makes the best watches, you gotta know that Sunday is the first day of the week. :p

I can't be assed to dig up a proper statistic but I think most Christian countries start their week on Monday because as everyone should know, the seventh day (Sunday) was reserved to rest after all that hard work done during the week.

Valve would be the ultimate game and software creators if they just got their timing right, they do everything perfect. Except Release dates.

Is there such a thing as a christian country?

I assume he means a country with a Christian heritage and/or a significant majority of Christians. Either way, the Sabbath was the seventh day "day of rest" for the Jews, but the early Christians gathered on what the New Testament calls "the first day of the week," what we call Sunday, because that was the day of the resurrection. So, no, Christians do not consider Sunday the seventh day of the week.

But this is all quite off-topic, the topic being HURRY UP AND GIVE US SOME SWEET NEW CONTENT, PLEASE, VALVE!!! :)

Don't they usually release updates on Thursdays?

That'd be my guess

I can probably say that America is a christian country and we start on Sundays. You're supposed to start off with sabbath.

Is there such a thing as a christian country?

Yes. France, for example, is heavily Catholic, and starts the week on Monday.

Despite the stereotype of Americans doing everything because it's "God's will", Manifest Destiny, and all that other stuff, the U.S. doesn't have a national religion like other countries do, and, in my opinion, most people put a pretty clear line about exactly how far they should extend their faith, if they have any.

No, you're supposed to end with the sabbath. But we start the week on sunday anyway.

myself, I say **** it, I start my week on tuesday.

Sunday being the first day of the week technically means they're not late whatsoever. In fact, it could be a long time yet!

LOL, you people are crazy. Sunday being the first day of the week? That's the silliest thing I've ever heard.

Why do you think they call Saturday and Sunday weekend?

In the beginning, there was nothing. Then god said, "Oh shit, I slept in" and then did his light and earth stuff.

Guys, we are talking valve time right?
Like 2months being 2 years

You do realize that an END of something can be on either side, right? For instance, you don't only put bookends on the far right of a line of books, do you? The weekend is like a bookend for the work week, enclosing it like parentheses.

Man are we off topic! hehe

haha, I know. Let's get back to talking about the forthcoming updates. MY MOUTH, SHE IS AWATERING!

I can't believe what this TF2 thread has become.

lol yeah wtf :p
for jewish people the first day of the week is sunday
sundday = yom rishon (yom = day) and rishon = first (and no sun is not rishon..)
anyway the end of the week came to anyway
and I want my update as soon as possible :O

Everyone needs to stop whining about free content.

It'll be released when it's done

Free? Hardly. We paid for the game, didn't we? And it is understood that part of that game is occassional updates. You might argue about exactly what those expectations might be, but you can hardly say they weren't present and assumed by all parties in the transaction.

Friday is the best time to release the update, (48+ hours of total ownage).

You do realize some games require you to pay for updates, right?

Also for years and years games used to not get updates at all besides patches?

btw, ubermensch, did you recently add blueboar to you steam friends list? 'Cuz that's me. Or my brother more specifically.

Yes, but those games come with the assumption that you will have additions that you have to pay for.

LOL I'm not even sure I can keep up that argument. Really just started it to be contrary! :)

Que-Ever, this isn't the name I use on Steam, so that wouldn't be me. ;)

well i like the fat that not only are the updates free but also that their kick ass, beacuse of that im gan play tf2 for years to come
