After the pcgamer exlcusive last year i was looking for more info and stumbled appon this site. i lurked for a bit and the i signed up and never looked back. The forums were a different place back then.

So many things have changed ;( So many things...

The forums just aren't the same. I think the community spirit still exists, but its not one big group anymore. People in Off Topic for instance are largely seperate to the other groups. Even though, obviously they post in other areas.

I found out about HL2 from a computer gaming mag, so i looked around all excited and found www.hl2central.net and i was on the forums there for a while (i joined at the begining of summer 03). Then i fell out of the loop after the delay and ive been hearing no big news on hl2 so i was playing TSRP. Next i was back in the HL2 loop and registered here.

I'd just seen the crowbar-shadow pic on a Half-Life forum.. and I was so excited! I googled Half-Life 2 to see if I could find more information, and I found HL2.net! There wasn't actually anything there when I found it besides the forum (I think..). It looked kinda cool, so I registered and.. here I am!

I got here after I for some reason stumbled upon the first leaked articles on HL2 (where the Gman comparison shots come from etc). Don't know how I found the site though. But I know I was sitting in the same chair as I do now Haven't gotten (it?) up yet

Oh I saw the leaked pics of the Crowbar too. Don't know if that was before or not. I think it was
