Where's the Hydra?

I just finished Halflife 2, great game I must say, but I kind of missed the feeling you get in "Halflife 1", if you know what I mean. Anyway, I realised I had seen a creature called "Hydra" on a screenshot, but I never met it in the game! Either nor did I see the fishy thing (which can be found under "enemies" at this very site) anyware. Now I confused, did I miss something, have I done something wrong?! I played in normal mode. Could it be that you only fight against these things in hard mode?

It looked promising but it didn't work well as a game mechanic for some reason so they cut it...Easy as that, maybe we will see it some other time.

Apparently, it looked cool when attacking others, but wasn't much fun to fight against yourself.

To find the hydra, first you must find a way to follow Lamaar up into the vent in Kleiners lab. Once you make it into the vent, you will need to navigate about 2 miles of vents. Follow these directions: left, right, right, left, up, down, left, up, down, left, left, down, right, up, down, right, left, right, left, left, up, left, right. You will find yourself in a large room with Lamaar sitting on a throne. Kill Lamaar by throwing a brick at her. Grab the key that Lamaar drops, and unlock the door on the right side of the room. The hydra is in there.

Lurker its no big deal...I did it once...Took me 30 hours and made my eyes bleed but believe me the greatness of the hydra is worth it!
