Yea I seen a vid of a rx7 with a twin turbo ls1 in it.Kick ass I might add, but the heart of the rx7 is the rotary and I for one love the engine because it's so unique.

The C5 has the ls1 (345 rwhp).
The C5 Z06 has the ls6(390 rwhp).
The C6 has the ls2 (390ish rwhp)
The C6 Z06 has the ls7 (500ish rwhp)
the C5R had a the C5R based ls6 with several other mods and are availbe to be purchased (just not a MFR option)

No you're incorrect, I was talking about the le mans C5 vette, it HAS A C5-R in it, NOT AN LS1. LS2 has 400hp, dyno proven on the 05 GTO.

My friends 400-450whp fd isn't THAT bad on gas mileage, he gets about 20-25mpg on highway and 15-20 on street. Not too bad for an 11 second car. :thumbs:

It's his opinion...now people start bringing FACTS to the table not opinions.Also GT1 is the GT class...they changed the names.

GT = GT1 now
GTS = GT2 now

Uh, To4S, Street ported, Big intercooler, sitting up top in the engine bay(basically hidden from view) and some tuning done. Its nasty let me tell you. I don't know if that is all his mods, but they are the most important. :thumbs:

unfortunatly your still incorrect there is no such model as the le mans C5 Its called the the C5R By gm. The C5R engine is derrived off of the ls1, infact the new tech found on the LS6, LS2, and LS7 are based off what the C5R program needed or found as flaws in the original design.

an acronym lesson for you RWHP means Rear Wheel Horse Power, ie the power you put to the ground. These are unadvertised as the paristic loss between tranny types and minor variances may make more or less HP. GM underates it HP for several reasons.

Umm yes I know, I've seen several LS2 powered GTO's put down 400RWHP on the dyno, the LS1 powered GTO's put down around 350RWHP.

Well his is high due to all his tickets, etc. If he gets another ticket in a 2 years time, he will lose it for awhile. Just don't get speeding tickets, etc and you'll be fine.
