Which console comapany made a system that you played some games on that you still have fond memories of?

Nintendo:SNES I still play Final Fantasy 3 and Zelda when the mood catches me :)

Black Isle Studios... May they Rest in peace... :(

Sega Mega Drive (aka. Sega Genesis).

Games like Sonic the Hedghog (1, 2 and 3) were absolutely classic for me. 1990 it all started and I would have only been 5 or 6 and I absolutely loved Sonic :D Certainly my fondest memories of a console game.

I'll also always have a fond memory of the N64 because of Goldeneye 007. Believe it or not, when that came out in 1996/7 I hadn't ever seen a single James Bond film. After playing the game for a few months I decided to watch Goldeneye the movie and it rocked and that set off a love for Bond films for me. Since then I've watched all of them.

I completed Goldeneye extensively too. Unlocked all the levels, all the cheats, all the secrets on my own, without help.
Although to unlock the invincibility cheat from the Facility level was a bitch so I watched a movie on the internet (at the time I only had 56k so it took me like an hour for a 2:30 clip ) of someone doing it and after many many practices I finally did it :D

Anyone who's ever played that game will know that to complete that level in 00 Agent mode (hard) in 2:05 is very very difficult.

Sega for me - master system was the first gaming experience for me, i wasn't rich enough for teh Snes0r

I still remember the SNES, Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Final Fantasy VI (Terra, Locke, Edgar, Cyan, Shadow, Kefka), Super Mario Kart (damn red shells), Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, Super Mario RPG (One of the greatest RPGs ever) Countless others.

That's a big NINTENDO on that one...

Super Mario World was the first game I ever played.

First game for me was Alex the Kid in Miracle World, which was actually built in to the Master System.

Games i remember:

Transbot
Ghost House
Sonic The Hedgehog
California Games

t00t t00t

Looks like Nintendo's in the lead trailed a ways back by Sega, and the rest are left with no votes. Will Sega pull ahead? Will Nintendo keep the lead? Does anyone actually like the X-Box?

Nintendo!!
But I must say that Crystal Quest for MAC was my first gaming experience ever...I think...? No wait!! Ally Cat!! That was my first game!! It's danish, as far as I remember

The scary thing is i could have told you the game that was from if you hadn't said!!

Yep, fond memorys of SEGA - sonic3 & knuckles (expansion cartridge) was my fav game.

sega saturn was awesome

but unfortunately it was only around for a month, i think like 5 games came out

Not a console here.. the old Amiga 1000 and 2000 are my greatest memories.. All the fun games..

as much as i hate microsoft, i'd hafta say i enjoy their console (xbox) the most. I frequently play on xbox live. Just the fact that u can use voice chat and with the headset communicator, it brings alot of coordination to the games which = more fun

You're fondest memories are of the X-Box? Are you sure you aren't a Microsoft employee? I mean you can play the computer online with headsets, you've been able to play online on the computer for quite some time. You know you have fonder memories of Nintendo or Sega.

lol no i'm not a microsoft employee, i hate microsoft with a passion. Yet i still buy their system... odd no? kinda goes to show u how strong of a grip they have. And i know u can play comp with headset, but most people dont, and keyboard always comes first. Xbox makes sure everybody has the headset to communicate so everybody has to talk. And this thread is for console gaming, not pc.

Yah, but I was asking what console you have the fondest memories of, not which one of the current batch you think is the best. I was just shocked to see that someone actually has fonder memories of X-Box gaming rather than a Sega Genesis or SNES, a Playstation's just about as new a system I can see people having fonder memories of over the rest. But I suppose some people might have an affinity for the X-Box.

Sega Genesis, my god. How many hours I spent playing that stupid hedgehog!! At the time though, it was very entertaining lol.

Ah Good ol sonic 2! Who could forget casino zones music!?
19, 65, 9, ,17, A and start. - all levels! I've still got it! :)

PSX, I remember the day Mum said she was buying one, I just rode round our circle driveway for like an hour on my bike going IM GETTING A PLAYSTATIOOOOOOON!!!!!!!!!! :D:D

I'd say Sega for the Genesis and me and a mate going Sonic 3 2 player, but that was only ever hiring it on weekends and we never really got that far :) My playstation pwned all before it broked...

well its the 3rd console i've had. I've only had a regular nintendo, and an n64 so i dont have a broad console experience. I prefer xbox, not just cause its newest and the best, but the fact all the teamwork and theres always somebody online whose up for a game, and i can keep track of all my online friends. I got people on xbl that i'll play a bunch of different games with all the time.

When i got n64, i basically locked myself in my room for about 2 weeks. True story, when I came out, there was a dog looking at me sitting there and i was like "wtf???" , turns out my family had bought it 4 DAYS AGO.

First console I ever got was an NES, along with super Mario 3. Though it was my first console, my fondest memories go to Sega. Directly afterwards I got a Genesis, and after a period of time, got every last Sonic game for the Genesis. I was hooked, and to this day, sonic is of course my favorite console character. I also really loved the Dreamcast. I still think its the best console I ever owned, and quite possibly one of the bigger steps in the console evolution. *sigh* I wish Sega didnt start suffering those losses... I would have loved to see annother Sega console.

I never got into console gaming. I (being a relative n00b) came onto the PC gaming scene as a youngster with the Learning Company's Treasure [Cove, Mathstorm, etc.], eventually moving to Colonization (from a friend who couldn't run it), then Age of Empires, through AoE 2, and eventually, after I got my new computer, to shooters like UT2003 and Splinter Cell (got my new comp only last September, upgraded from a P2 266MHz).

yeah i usually only played on the pc with all those dos games, heh. fun times. age of empires was the first new game i had gotten since quake came out--so there was basically a time span when i played no new games and then i was totally amazed by aoe; ended up getting aoe2 and the expansion pack for that--still play those sometimes.

well, anyways, i voted for atari because i never got nintendo or playstation or anything like that... didn't even have a gameboy or stuff like that either. i'm not even sure if it was the atari i was playing on, or colecovision... too long ago. but i still remember a lot of the games from those--donkey kong mostly, and then a lot of weird random games, and there was a fun driving game where you could hook up a steering-wheel thing. i also remember the controller thing or whatever was pretty hard to move (or maybe i was just weak back then) because my hands would be really tired after playing a long time.

I started playing on an Atari when I was three years old... but I still voted for Nintendo.

Long live Shigeru Miyamoto!

all of the oldschool ones......

pong, atari, intellivision, sega and nintendo......

i voted sega....becuase thats what i played the most.

Yes it is sad Black Isle had to recently suffer at the hands of one of the most poorly led game publishers ever.

Click on my sig that says "In Memory of Black Isle Studios" and you'll see a screen for the axed Fallout 3 project. Take in mind that screenshot is of a fully 3-d game, so you could have looked at that from all angles. It was also a screen of the unfinished game so there was lots of room for improved textures etc.
