Which did you honestly enjoy more?

My preference clearly lies with Half-Life.

OpFor is cool and has some nice additions but IMO has less atmospheric quality than the original (no shame in that) and also does not have quite the impressive environments, alien designs and set pieces that HL offers - tram ride, tentacle monster, airstrike puzzle, Garg, "Questionable Etrhics", etc.

Blue Shift, playing the whole game with just a pistol and shotgun is great, I just wish I could have met another Barney.

Blue Shift was such a disappointment.
It was close between Op4 and HL but I'll have to go with HL just because it was the first FPS I ever truly loved - Op4 was more the icing on its crowbar-filled cake.

Blueshift was actually quite good, albeit short. I enjoyed getting another look at BMRF before the stuff went wrong. I loved the fact that Barney Calhoune was that one guard Gordon saw during his tram ride - and now Blueshift has extra importance because Calhoune is a character in HL2.

Only the power struggle level in blueshift had a puzzle that was a bit annoying, with all that barrel pushing, etc. However, the final part with Dr. Rosenberg was some of the most emotional moments in gaming for me, I was so afraid he'd be killed, I liked him quite a lot.

Word! Alot the same feel to the BMRF as in Half-life, which was great, but alotta stuff isn't quite as exciting the second time around, and seeing as it is so long (which is a really good thing in itself) it takes alotta time getting to the really fun parts. Especially on a rail is so boring to me and takes such a long time.

Well playing the expansions and learning new parts of the story was cool, so I guess I enjoyed them more since I could look around for more information about what happened.

i have actually never playn blue shift... why is it not on steam? my vote was for half life because it was the first computer fps i ever played when i was like 12 and it was flipping sweet

Half-Life & Opposing Force are almost equal.

But Blue Shift was a little bit crappy

I thought blueshift was way better than op4. Although op4 beginning and ending was sweet. I liked blueshifts ending better than op4's ending. Nothing was better than the suspence when you are opening up the portal to let your scientists thru and the military surrounding the room. Halflife was probably the most satisfying after i beat it. BS was the best expansion for me and halflife is just the best because its the original.
