Which Game do you think is more advanced? Far Cry or Doom 3

Because farcry is still quite a scary game in the right enviroment.

Fair enough the first 4 1/2 levels are'nt scary but soon as you enter that cave on the 5th level and you see a cut-scene of a trigen (which came as a shock to me, i never read up on this game) you get scared.

Ive played them both...yeh farcry just does'nt cut doom3 in scary factor but it still does scare you, sometimes...and it makes you jump almost Everytime a trigen pounces onto you. They move so damn quick.

I thought that part was really cheesy and cliched. I was more scared by those monkey things in the start of Unreal 2 because until you started to fight them you could see them dart across the map and you never got a full look. And that wasn't scary at all.

Far Cry surprised me in the graphics department though, very good graphics on the inside levels

But yeah i voted for Doom 3. Unified Lighting System, better physics, looks 3 times as good in motion.

I mean far cry was a good game and all, but graphically, Doom 3 beats it and half life 2 still looks like it will have the "realistic" feel that will graphically and gameplay wise that will beat far cry.

Seriously, I haven't seen much of doom's graphics exept for the "plastic" renders. Can't say.

Unified Lighting System, better normal maps, better physics system. I wouldn't say its overwhelming more advanced but yeah, the unified lighting system is really the only thing that makes it so.
