which game would you pick?

If you had a choice of what unreleased game you could play right now, what would it be? Please state why you picked that game. I chose HL2 cuz I've been waiting for it and it's the game I'm most interested in

This poll WILL be skewed from being in an HL2 forum, but even so, HL2 will most likely win in general. All the games promise a few new or exceptionally well-done features. Doom3 bost graphics and a good SP game, but its MP is not the most anticipated. As many have said, STALKER seems to just be a very good looking game, bbut with poor gameplay, etc. One of the reasons Half-life is so promising is because of the popularity HL received.

Personally, right now I'd pick HL1 over Halo1 Doom2 (hehe) and QuakeIII, primarily because of its exceptional mod community. Now all these games have been revamped with better graphics and new gimmicks (i.e. physics, lighting etc.), so it's safe to assume Half-Life2 will be HL1 quality gameplay with all the new features, and thus the victor.

I've lost a considerable amount of interest in Half-Life 2. I would go with Doom 3 right now. I am really hyped for it.

I'm with Shuzer, Starcraft 2 would kick the ass of any game that challenged it. I voted for Doom 3 because i've always been a strong id fan, and Doom 3 makes me salivate in anticipation.

I would have picked HL2 but i always keep picking it so i didnt choose it this time, Battlefield 2 looks sweet, if you havent seen the videos that were released just recently you should check them out, and im probably sure ill have more fun on that online then any other game on the list other then HL2 with its mods of course. I just hope they code Battlefield 2 well otherwise i will not like it as much.

My second choice would be a tough call between Doom 3 and Halo 2. One is a great horror game that requires a beast of a PC to get the full effect... the other is an epic Sci-Fi story with great multiplayer and only requires an XBox (thus, I can get more friends together to play it).

HL2, obviously, because it's given me the most giddy attacks. I can't wait for this game, i've never looked so deeply into any other. Just thinking of all the things you will be able to do in another game, Mmmm...
