I personally favor the bullpup aka. AUG

M4 seems to be easier to handle most of the time. Upclose I have alot of trouble hitting people with the AUG.

Well, I don't know why, but I can get more kills with the M4, even though the Bullpup seems to be more accurate. I notice that while using the Bullpup at a distance, in order to remain accurate, you need to shoot, wait for the crosshairs to go set back into place, then fire again, or else you get really inaccurate.

But I prefer the M4, seems to have a tighter 4-5 shot burst.

I've found using the Scout to be pretty easy, you just can't expect a one-shot kill every time. I've also seen that the Clarion may be the easiest automatic weapon to use at large distances. Burst-Fire, crouch, aim at the upper torso, you earn a kill. Does anyone else agree with me that the Defender is extremely good in CQC? I seem to do better with it up close than with an AK.

out of the two, I'd go with M4. Favourite sniper would be the scout, you actually have to take more care when aiming. With the AWP or autosniper, you just keep shooting until they're dead. With the scout, you have to aim for their head other wise by the time you have reloaded, they have killed you or they are hiding somewhere.

I believe the colt packs more punch(I get fewer non-kill headshots with it), so my vote goes to it.

I like both weapons, but the aug really isn't as good in close combat (go figure). I prefer the M4, because I like rushing.

AUG has a smaller crosshair when idle, but M4 can do just about the same thing for less money. The AUG's shooting zoomed in is just too awkward for me.

just use ak but you can spray and pray like you used to be able to in cs 1.6

I'm V-Green but have played for 15+ hours and with most weapons. For new players i would suggest the Clarion as it is one of the few guns i can get several kills with. I've just started using the Five-Seven (it's worth the cash) and found it to be usefull at all ranges. For some reason i'm not as good with the M4A1 but this is prob because i'm still not getting too many head shots. I think the Clarion has a higher rate of fire that helps.

Well, the Clarion really isn't known for raking in the kills, but it does excellent at large distances. Most people, unless short on cash, never use a pistol as their primary weapon, but if you are, I suggest the Nighthawk. Great accuracy and gigantic power, but a small clip.


It's hard to say what's the best, as some people do better with other guns than others. You should try to get good with the M4A1 on the CTs, and the CV-47 on the Ts. Both guns are nearly identical and can be used extremely well at ALL ranges.

the M4 is arguably the best gun in CS.. so it is just a tad unfair to compare the AUG/Bullpup to it.. just MHO.
