I'll be voting PC now, but in 5-10 years I think consoles will take over many (if not all) of the genres we see as "PC only" right now. A mouse/keyboard (or similar controlling device) will eventually be standard equipment for consoles... allowing the kind of precise FPS/RTS control we all know and love. When HDTVs (or the next big thing in TV tech) get more support from consoles you'll even be able to have decent resolutions. The PC will still exist but it won't be used as a big gaming machine by many people because consoles will have all of the things that make computers good for gaming... while still being much cheaper to own. With new consoles running about $300 (half the price of the fastest video card and one third the price of the newest P4EE) and with performance better than computers (for several months to a year after the console is first released) a PC is just barely holding on to the gamers because consoles aren't prepared to handle certain genres as well as PCs. The last card the PC has up its sleeve is the modding capabilities of PC games. Even that will change... and PC gamers/games will begin to disappear.

Be prepared for this change. Don't go down with the ship. Accept the pending death of the PC gamer and move on with us to the Golden Age of gaming. Consoles are the future.

We've had a good run, me and my PCs, but it will come to an end sooner or later...
