BF2 or BF2 special forces?


I like BF2 better because you can fly jets.

vanilla. SF was a way too expensive skin/model/gun replacement + more maps.

I like the big open maps as well.

I haven't played SF before, so i VOTED BF2.

Special Forces is alright - Ghost Town and Warlord are great maps and the zipline, grapple and the ATV/quad are very cool toys.
the other maps are grimy, dull and meh

BF2 is awesome though - could have easily been alot better but it is still an A++ game

since sf got optmised i enjoyed it alot more and played it more, the zip and grapple are particularly useful, i wish they were added to vanilla...

I play BF2 more, but I'm a bigger fan of what SF has to offer.

Picture this.... Driving a Tank down the slopes of Dragon Valley, with the rest of your squad in an APC behind you, you catch up to the helipad flag on the west side of the river. 4 squadmates bail out of the APC, begin capping the flag. An Anti-Tank spawns in the garage, pulls out his Eryx, and shoots the side of the APC. You turn your tank and shell him, sending him flying in the air, just as the APC is taken out from a TV guided missle from the helicopter way in the air.

Luckily the driver of the APC already bailed out, and was already in the TOW located against the wall, and before the Chopper pilot knew what was happening, a TOW missle was in his face. The helicopter falls from the sky in shambles, as bullets are buzzing past your teamates. They realize that a couple Support, a Medic, were just laying down the fire. They take cover behind your tank as you get ready to blast them. The only bad thing was a Jet was already inbound to bomb you. Luckily one of your teamates was already on his tale. The enemy jet starts unloading his bullets onto your location, taking out 3 of your men. Friendly jet unleashes 4 missles into his tail, blowing him out of the sky. At that moment you let lose your tank shell into the group of infantry, killing them all. You capture the flag, and move the the next......

That is what makes Vanilla much better than Special Forces IMHO

I bought SF only for the weapons really. I like SF a lot because you get easy kills of people all the time in the dark. I never play it anymore cause I get sick of exiting BF2 then it opening up SF. BF2 takes long enough starting and exiting so its a real pain is the ass. :hmph:

BF2 for me too. I prefer the maps and sometimes SF is a bit jerky on some of the maps.
