Which one to buy?

So me and my brother both want to play Half-Life 2. We will probably both want to play Half Life 2 SP at the same time at some points. If I order the game through Steam, can I play HL2 SP in offiline mode on one PC while my brother does the same on the other? And if not, what about us both playing it if i buy the game from a shop, and install it on both of our steam accounts?

So basically, what is the cheapest way to play HL2 SP together at the same time?

Hmm.....me and my brother want to play it at the same time as well. Not sure....you may have to buy the 2 cheapest copies. I don't think you can install one game on 2 accounts. I'm getting the silver steam package, and my brother is getting standard retail.

One thing you could do, seeing as using the game for two diff computer is technicly "Illegal", you should make two accounts, one for your bro and one for you and buy bronze on steam for each account.

Hmm, ok, I may just buy Bronze and Gold, so that we have 2 of the games, and 1 set of the goodies.
