Which Online Game did you think was awesome?

Surely we all had our experience of all great games,come and go. Kingpin for example, Counter-Strike..(Lmao,of course.) But what games did you think was badass? Me, I go for war games. But the one that I thought was terrific was DoD,Not because of my name, but because of the engine. I really thought it was cool. But how about you all?

Wheel of Time...simply owned every game ever made with its combat system. (Magic type weapondry) every offence had a defence, provided you had the artifact needed....only game EVER where you could battle someone for ten minutes and never lay a hit...then BANG, its over because they ran out of fire sheild/reflect...man that rocked...to bad the UT instagibbers took it over.

When Diablo 2 was released i knew what being addicted was lol, it ruined my school nearly, but it worked out good because now i work in a gameshop talking about what i know best, and getting paid eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee heeeeeeeeeeeeeee

DoD was my first real online game/mod I played and enjoyed. It had another style than most out there (which was CS ). It encouraged teamplay to an extent I had never seen before.

But the only true awesome game I know of is RTCW: ET. Its so simple (and free), yet one of the most perfect experiences I have ever played! In contrast to DoD which just got teamplay as a sideeffect, you NEED teamplay to win in ET. But it still got the fast arcadish feel. Perfect mix, the most perfect to date. Not even the allmighty team game BF1942 can beat it.

Was in one of the top european clans for Tribes2 and the sheer feeling of teamwork and tactics was overwhelming.

Tribes2 all the way, as long as it's a professional clan game not a fun one. Immense teamwork. :thumbs:

TFC is still my favorite. I play either HW or sniper depending on the stage. It's really hard to put my finger on it, but I think that most people who play now, know the maps and know how to use their class well. The Epicenter map is one of my favorites. I just think that after years of refinement the game that is left, is amazing. I don't need flashy graphics when there is superb level design and skilled players.

Messed about with TFC, DoD and CS for a while - all good fun

It is RTCW that has me hooked tho - nothing else provides the level of teamplay I like (as with most online fps, it's ok on publics ........ excellent in clans \o/)

Tribes 2 was a fantastic online game, nothing better than using true teamwork in a 80-man server to overcome the opposition. Classic. As D33 mentioned, joining a clan is the best part, well... maybe apart from Shrikes

DoD is awsome. It was even more fun during the beta , all the way back at 1.0 , it was so fun because 1. I knew the game was awsome , by 1.3b it was as polished as CS and 2. Noone knew about it so it was very cool being part of a smaller tight community. Back when the team-members frequently came on the msessage boards.

Starcraft was awesome online, back years ago.
Thats what i started playing online, then i played Diablo II, it sucks now, but it took up chunks of my time.
Now i like hl mods, such as DoD and NS

Ultima online. I would still be playing today if they didn't ruin it with trammel/fel crap.
