But personally, I felt sorry for the train station porter. He got hit in the back by the combine, and then the luggage went everywhere (poor Lad)

But the Gman is the ultimate man, he reminds me of myself

I have to say my favorite thing about Half-Life 2 is the story. There is also one other thing I like about. That is the physics. The most advanced physics system in any game. That's all I like, but when it comes out, I'll probably end up liking the whole game from start to finish, although I hope the finish is good. :cheers:

I'm voting for Dr. Breen. I think her and Gordon should play Doctor somewhere in the game. You know how those intellectual types like to party! Nothing like getting loose after a hard day of pouring over Quantum Physics and distrupting the Space/Time continuom. She needs to let her ahir down.

You're thinking of Judith Mossman.. Dr Breen is that brown-clothed guy screaming out stuff in the beginning of the E3-video.

Voted for Eli and Gman. Both really stood out in the videos, Eli especially. very charismatic and outstanding voice acting for Eli.

Not a spolier, just speculation (never played "beta" and have no inside info) but why do I think he's going to be killed off? Seems extremely likable and I think that, although sad, would make a great plot twist for Alex's progression in the tale.

And yes, by all means get your sound back on! The sound/voice acting might have been as impressive, or more impressive, as anything in the videos.

Absolutely agree. He's very likable....yet has little to do in the game progression (at least I assume) other than what he offers Gordon and Alex in talk and advice.

Would be a huge twist if Alex got it though, but that seems a stretch.

I think this is what makes games like HL1/HL2 so fun...plot/story/interaction and an actual care for characters.

Since you didn't put them on, I went with all of them, but the best-of the-best ones listed are Breen, G-man and the enemies in general.

It's clearly listed as Dr. Breen in multiple articles. I'd assume it's not Dr. Green because:
1) Some editors may have misheard Breen and assumed it was Green;
2) Dr. Green sounds just plain terrible for a [probable] bad guy :cheese:

I take it this isn't whose voice acting did I like but who I liked as characters. I voted for all the good guys (Father Gregory should be there). They seem so friendly I wouldn't mind having having dinner with them once in a while (though Father Gregory might try to convert me). G-man on the other hand, imagine being in a room alone with that guy...... creepy. The guards seem brainwashed and dull and awkward to talk to. Dr. Breen actually does look really friendly but since I think he's some how evil, I'm not inviting him.

i just think this is incredible, the way we havent even played the game yet but we can still empathise with the characters as if they were out of a final fantasy or baldurs gate game....all this in a FPS!!

yeah the emotion of the characters does tend to hook us in... I mean I really really like the G-man, I love his manifesto.. his character.. everything.. I mean I never had any "emotional" attatchment (well that may be a strong way of saying it, but you get my meaning) to any game character ever.
