Well the tiger, his claws could pierce and tear the python's skin.

Have a feeling that the tiger is going to totally pwn the python. I would figure the tiger has a better advantage with its agility and such.... but who knows.

It depends on their relative sizes. Evenly sized, the python, but that'd have to be a somewhat unrealistically-sized python.

They're both probably going to die from infection after chewing on each other. If the phthon had got a loop around the tiger's neck, it would have been over. I have a video from somewhere else where a tiger and a saltwater crocodile go at it. Yikes! It also doesn't have that awful 50's rhetoric/theme music.

edit - here it is.

2nd edit - I hadn't watched it in a while. That croc should have owned the tiger, given its size. If the croc had gotten it's jaws on the tiger, or at least took off running, he might have made it. Maybe the tiger has a tighter grip on its neck than I give it credit for? Crocs are also built for ambush, while tigers, which use ambush, are better built for 'combat'.
 
What's with everyone saying it's fake? How do you fake that?
 
That was pretty awesome. That python had that one.

Not sure what the situation was, but a tiger, not sure if it was male or female, and a female lion in a zoo "cage" together. I'm thinking it was a male tiger, maybe they were trying to mate them. But they were fighting and stuff and looked so pathetic afterwards, the tiger was bleeding from mouth. I just hope they didnt put them together knowing that they would fight like that... :(

I think that's in Japan. This is typical of them, they have these types of matches all the time. Their demented ways are not limited to just their sexual practices. Can't remember the site, but there was at one time a sight full of these types of fight videos. I'm sure this isn't limited to just Japan though as I'm sure rich people from every culture need to find new and different ways to get their kicks.

It wasn't that violent of a fight, but it looked like the Tiger had control. Everyone always talks about lions, but in my opinion tigers are the baddest cats walking the earth right now.

I think what a tiger does to kill is not bite through and tear the prey up, but to just clamp the neck and suffocate them. Not what you would expect from something like a tiger, but eh. It's probably difficult to suffocate a python.

Imagine how easily a python would take us down if we didn't have a knife or gun on hand. Our teeth could do nowhere near the amount of damage that a tiger could.
 
jaguars are pretty cool, they have much stronger bite than the tigers and lions so they basically bite through the skull of whatever they're killing, striking at the brain directly.

True. The size of prey they can take down is amazing. I remember the NGE special that used to run about the pride of lions that hunted buffalo exclusively.

I've seen that (only on TV :( ) and it's incredibly massive, it just doesn't seem like it would be all that agile or have any kind of stamina. Then again, maybe it doesn't need to be either and with just one swipe of a paw or a bite could incapacitate an opponent.

i voted tiger from seeing the vids of jaguars destroying pythons, but that tiger obviously hadnt learned the jaguars extreme snake-fighting method.
