Who is he? What does he do? Was he a government agent or something like that?

I never finished HL1

Well, go reinstall it and play it.

You don't find anything out about the G-man though.

You should probably search for this...but I don't have a link either.

Just tell me! I won't get to completing it anyway since I got FF8 today

It's STILL on my PC after all these years. Reason: CS!

Is it just me, Or is the Voice actor from HL1 for G-Man different from the e3 Demo for HL2. The one for HL2 seems much freakier, i'm sure all those extra facial emotions will give it a nice kick too.

Xen

The voice quality is about a billion times better in HL2 though.

It's the same guy, it's just that since he recroded the voice in HL1 he's taken acting lessons/

Yeah no doubt that the quality is far better. I'm talking about the actor himself, It sounds like a new guy.

I personally think he's working for the combine and he's kinda playing both sides

I thought that Laidlaw said we never actually met the G-Man?

or was that the Administrator?

can someone clear that little bit up plz :)

hl2 he sounds a little older, and less like a snake.

in the first one you always saw him right before, or as somehting was happening.

always out of reach, or gunshot, lol.

all you know is that he worked for a group that wanted to gain a foothold of Xen, where the aliens were coming from.

Just a messenger? or more....

actually i think it was marc Laidlaw, the writer in teh planethalflife interview :\ i could be wrong in which case this post can be toasted (well, no offense would be taken i mean)

maybe HL will be like the Matrix a 3 parter?

The beginning, HL2 is the middle, and HL3 brings it all to a nice close :)

You're right! With gabe answering so many questions I had figured it would have been him. But you're right, nice catch.

I thought you had to die before you go to hell? Man i've been living life all wrong.

You go to hell, THEN you die... gotta write this down

Xenosis it's a line from Mr Garisson in South Park, don't mind coolio though: he's having troubles adapting to human contact. And Andy they've already announced HL3, it is going to be delayed untill 2056 according to Fragmaster.

Lol oh yes! Now that you mentioned South Park I've got it lol. I'm such a dumbass...Anyways...

yeah i know they already announced it mate :) i just ment that HL3 would bring an end to it in a trilogy style.

i think it would be kinda cool

It could be his son, in a weired type of timetravel sort of way.

Imagine realising that his son is going to be an arse, he'd have to kill him just for that.

The G-Man is a government agent... What part of the government, we don't know.

The administrator is referred to A LOT in Half-Life, even by the scientists of Black Mesa. He/she is the one funding their whole project. I think the G-Man works for the Administrator.

I think Gman is an Edgar suit....

(anyone know what im talking about?)

The Admin must be one badass shamone...

I kinda of don't wanna find out who he is but do at the same time. its love of mystery and curiosity at the same time. He was the most developed character in HL1 :) think about it, its true. hehe

Maybe in hl2 I'll finally be able to get a shot off at him. and oh how I will shoot him.

i preferred the voice in half life to hl2, although similar i liked the way he hissed in hl
