Who listens to that shit anyway. Yes or no?

Seems like a very biased poll there... Also, why no actual poll.

I say yes anyway...Strangely I also like some Pop-Punk: Bowling For Soup, Sum 41.

Yes.

The jam and the clash, and all those numerous other bands you'll only hear once in your life, or they play on the speakers inbetween other bands.

used to listen to a lot of minor threat and the dead kennedys and the sex pistols when i skateboarded lol but no more.

F*ckin A right I do and have for 15 years or so. Some of the greatest music out there...along with virtually everything else. :E

I hate that kind of attitude. People who actually hate genres of music they don't like and bash them constantly. I'm guilty of it too to a small point. But to call something shit, when loads of people like it, is just fair ignorant, you don't like it fine, but no need to be such a bitch about it.

I thought he meant it like ''that shit is good, maaaan'' or something.

The Ramones I could never get into. Love The Clash, though. More of a fan of hardcore punk though really.

Oh, and if anyone mentions green day I'll cut off your bawls.

I dunno man, I was just listening to the song 'She' off Dookie, and its pretty damn good. I normally hate Green Day too.

Well, dookie is one of my favorite albums. And they're punk. It just seems that the majority of people nowadays like them for their new album, which I guess could be punk, but it seems more pop than anything, not to mention the songs are pretty much crap anyway. Actually, most of their albums are pretty crap.

Greenday = old skool ftw, new stuff - nah
Offspring i dig
Clash :D

Then some more hardcore local ones
4FootFingers
Adequate Seven (ska/punk)

:D

Hm, offspring... I like(d) them, never really thought of them as punk though. I think that was before I really knew what it was, though.

I like the old stuff. Or older stuff. None of this more modern stuff. Bands that meant alot to me were...

Sex Pistols, The Ramones, The Clash, Conflict, Minor Threat, NOFX, The Queers(before they sold out), Bouncing Souls, Screeching Weasel. There's a couple more there too.

...was wondering how long this would take to turn to defining what is and isn't punk. I listen on rare occasions (dig the tapes out from when I was younger). Some of it is quite enjoyable, but usually when I'm with friends getting ready for some skateboarding. GBH, The Germs, etc.

Adequate Seven (ska/punk)

Ah yes, Ad7 - funk/punk/hardcore/ska. A fine choice sir! Although I must admit I was pretty disappointed with their first full length. :|

Nope. I used to listen to some every now and then, but then I realized I found most of it to be pretty stupid and actually irritating.

Yeah dude, they're one of the best known bands in the UK punk scene. I'll be seeing them at Reading festival on saturday :E

Dammit so many punkers. Its a good thing I didnt say shit about them. I like metal, no punk for me. Only reason is cause the punk kids in my area are stupid as hell and always complaining about the government. They should die.

Basically your saying they immature while you say they should die.

The Clash's 'London Calling' and 'Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols' are really the only true punk albums I listen to nowadays. All the new pop-punk stuff annoys me, heh.

Your not alone. All they do is whine.

Well good, at least you punks are at least something like real punks, rather than these damn fashion punks around here... btw, a lot of metal nowadays, and even back into the eighties was influenced by punk somewhat.

Damn straight. Slayer covering Minor Threat, Metallica covering Misfits and Discharge - not to mention all the Thrash/Hardcore crossover bands that have come and gone...

Yeah, Punk is good. Clash (London Calling ftw. My favorite song would probably be "Spanish Bombs"), Offspring etc. My personal favorite bad is Bad Religion.

I remember a song called "I'm gonna pierce my brain". That was one hell of a good song. Funny too :D

Dead Kennedys
NOFx
the old Green Day
Rancid
Operation Ivy

THE AQUABATS!

and lots of other stuff I'm too lazy to recall.
