Who out there is an actual musician?

it dont matter if its a hobby or your in a band just say it and give your self a rating like 1-10 be truthful now

i play guitar/bass im probobly a 4
used to play sax 6
i can drum but i suck worse than all get out 2

im pretty much focusing on the guitar seeing as i sold all/most other instrimunts i owned

all self taught except sax

Played Piano from a fairly young age, but I stopped going to lessons after a while. I can basically play what I want to, or need to.

Played Guitar since '99, been in a few bands, I'd say I'm pretty confident at playing, again I can play what I want to play fine.

I play Bass Guitar (3-4 YRS, Rating 6-7) , Elec. Guitar (Half YR, Rating 4-5), Trumpet (I'm gonna guess 6-7 YRS, Rating 7-8), drums(On and off I've played, Rating 3), I can dabble on others but wouldnt consider them ones I can play.
I've played a range from classical and jazz to Metal and funk.

I used to piano, got up to a 6, now I'm a 4.
I just started the bass, and I think I'm already a 5, and climbing.
I've been playing the flute for a while, probably an 8.
And I just started the bassoon, probably a 4 but getting better rapidly.


I am in a band with the bass guitar, a band with the flute, a band with the bassoon, and possible an orchestra with the bassoon next year. And I might join a jazz band on my bass.

Picked up an electric guitar about 6 years ago. Tought myself power chords and basic tab reading and whatnot. Haven't played in about 2 years though. I need to either pick it back up or sell it though cause all it's doing is collecting dust in my room right now.

This might sound weird and obscure, but I'm a beatboxer. I'd rate myself at about a 5 or a 6.
I love it. You can do it wherever and whenever you want, and it sounds just plain sick.

Yeah, ship, I do the beatbox thing, and have done since I was 8. Dunno why.

Sax is my only instrument outside of synth and drum programming, loop creation and the general recording/mixing/producing chain. I'm pretty neat it it, been going 7 years now, in a couple local bands and pulling in around 300 quid a month aside 4 A levels

played piano for 10 years or so, got ( without wanting to blow me own trumpet:upstare: ) got up to UK grade 7 so probly 8

now i play all types of guitar for myself, no grades or exams, natural ability for just playing the thing probly 6/7, technical knowledge 1/2

always loved playing music, had brief stints with sax and jaxx organ (performed at a paying concert with that)

Heh, every instrument I tried to learn I eventually quit either becuase I lost interest or I had no time for it.

I use to play the trumpet back in 1998-1999 and I would have rated myself a 3 because I learned it pretty quickly, but still wasn't all that great.

Instruments that I've attempted to play: Trombone, Piano, Bass, Violin and Guitar...I'm actually gonna give the guitar another try
