i so know it is goin to be poss, i have read it in a pc mag, with the MOD bit.

it said it would be poss for ppl to mob a buggy race.

so while u race, you will see it on the big screens

I hate SP. I think i'm maybe play like 2 hours before i will get bored and start using cheats, that's antoher hour of gameplay. Then i'll play online for rest of my life. :E

O.K., let's take this a step further: instead of just a buggy race, make it a death race! That's right, equip the buggys with all manner of weaponry from front mounted machine guns, mines that you can drop on the ground, and a rear facing grenade launcher! Perhaps even allow other gamers to participate on foot, taking potshots at the racers like the tusken raider picking off the podracers in Episode I!

Now that could be one cool mod.

I think it'd be cool for a sort of GTA style mod. Probably singleplayer only. Very large open worlds, vehicles and missions to complete.

That is actually really interesting. You could set up a map (perhaps a mod, if it gets too complex) where people race. Everyone who isn't racing hang out in some kind of 'chill room' where they can chat, play games (simulated shooting?) or watch the race on a big screen, which is filmed by an invisible tracker which tags the leading buggy. Unfortunately Chris said that only one camera is allowed at a time, so individual 'buggy cams' wouldn't be possible.

I would probably play sp for a few hours, then fire up Mp and see what goes.

To the buggie thing: why not take one of these cameradrones for that? i'd be cool to actually see the camera circle around the leading buggy. Plus, did gabe say one camera AT ALL or just one camera ACTIVE? cause you could plant cameras on every buggy, on certain parts of the track etc, one player plays editor and decides wich camera is active...another could comment over voice. (" And here comes Dave, passes Chris_D, OH NO! A CHRASH! Whats that, he does a loop and gets back on track?" Whole room: "CHEATER!!!") Just a thought.

I already did this map for HL as a warm up. I'll post more screenshots when I've finished my next version (it has jumps & vertical loops, etc). Once it's done in HL1, I'll just impost into the new hammer, texture it quickly, add a sky then compile. 1 hour tops.
