Who will be the first to beat halflife 2? Will it be yee?

Simply for the sake of bragging rites dig up this thread and post a picture as proof you beat it. Come on you know you are itching to.

Then we shall see who is the fastest hl2 masta'

I honestly am curious as to the future identitiy of the first person to beat the game.
 
I dont care as I wont be rushing through, you gotta stop and smell the roses.
 
bah, I could care less if I finished HL2 before anyone else did. I'd rather take my time and enjoy the game, instead of rushing through everything and not enjoying it.



life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around every once in a while, you could miss it
 
won't be me. I'll be obsessed and play through it in a horribly small number of days but it'll be due to addiction, not to speed. I'll be the one sneaking around and surveying the whole world to be sure I don't miss something really cool.

spoilers, no, i don't to see spoilers, perhaps a rolling credits sorta thingy. Anyway I am not advocating running through the game like a psycho greyhound, i simply want to try to see who is the "first" to beat the game.

Everything has a first, i want to be there when the history happens
 
This is a waste of time thread. I can just type in the console 'map finallevel' and take a screen shot.

Unfortunatly I doubt everyone who will read this thread cares about honor or lying. It only takes one person of all the people who read this, to decide to do the trick. And theres no way of telling wether or not whoever posts the proof first would have cheated or not. So it's pretty much useless to even try.
 
Thats it, for the sake of this thread I'm going to do it and then play through again this time for fun.
 
why does it matter whos first? do you get the title of Ub3R nerd or something?
 
Probably not me because I won't be able to buy a copy for a while until after it's released.. zing zong zwned by financial problems.
atleast I was able to upgrade my pc :cool:
 
As for anyone who actualy did play the game all the way through as fast as he could, he would have probably been the person who missed out on the most secrets, Half-Life 3 plot hints, Valve only knows what else there might be in store for us. The people who take their time thinking and planning every move will probably enjoy the game alot more than someone whos in a speed race to complete a game in 1 day that took over 5 years to make. :/
 
i don't want to be it fast. i want to take it slow and detailed, and savor every second.

this isn't for an award and nothing is stopping you from playing again in a more slow paced manner. Simply put it is to KNOW, because i am curious.

I simply want to know who was first for historical purposes, to say, "yeah i know the name of the first guy to beat halflife 2" Me, i am going to play through slowly.

However somewhere out there is somebody who be the first to beat the game, i want to know who that someone is.

(please note im actually going to play it slow aswell)
 
Theres absolutely NO way for you or anyone else to ever know who beats the game first. That was my entire point since the begining. I understand that you are curious to know, but unfortunately its impossible. Which is why I said this thread was pointless at the begining. Did you even think about the common and logical possibility that not everyone who will play Half-Life 2 will have ever visited this forum, let alone read your specific post?
 
i am well aware of that, however i'd still be nice to know who on this forum beat halflife 2 first.

im going to take my time kill alyx quick load like 100 times do things differntly and stuff and beat it on hard mode first time
 
why rush? Put it on the hardest difficulty and get your money's worth!

trying to beat it as fast as you can is the wrong thing to do....

I say we have a contest of who enjoyed it and noticed all the details.....
 
If a retarded n00bie comes to the forum and spoils Half-Life 2, I swear, I will rip out Gordon's eyes, launch Half way across the room with a manipulator and shove snarks up his arse. Then there will be no HL3!
 
Rushing into beating a game is stupid. It's a waste of $50. Just take your time, enjoy the game, and have fun. :cheers:
 
okay...how about this...take as long as you want, when you finish, let the forum know. That way we can see which person in the forum finished forst. better?

kudos provided if you can find easter eggs which i'm sure there are
