PC Gamer or Computer gaming? I want to scribe to one of these magazine but i dunno which one i should get. please help!

no idea, i read PCG good mag. i like the double sided DVDs, full of nice stuff (hl2 mods/maps anyone?) cant comment on CG though

PC Gamer sounds the better choice. My friend subscribes to it and it's ace. It's full of HL2 stuff on the DVD every week too.

PC Gamer and PC Zone are (last time I checked) the only PC magazines worth reading.

And out of those two I'd personally say PC Gamer just has the edge with its more interesting and more humorous writing.

Yeah, in my experience, PC Gamer is very much worth it. I'd go for PCG.

Having Read PCZone for an absolute age, I totally agree that Gamer is the better mag. Zone of 1998 - 2000 was excellent: lower price, very funny, good honest, harsh reviews. Then they started pimping out outstanding reviews to games that didn't deserve them in the least. Unreal 2 "the best FPS game ever"? Zone sold out.

Is the thread starter from the UK or US though? Zone is UK only right? (Except Beneluex, which is European?)

PC Extra Large?

PCXL = PC Accelerator, the best gaming mag ever. Unfortunately it is no longer around. It's the only magazine I've always read cover-to-cover.

For those of you who missed it, it was a combination of great gaming coverage, incredible humor, and, of course, plenty of babes.

Here's a cover and an article about its closing. God, now I'll have to go find some old issues to read. :/
