I sure am getting a DS. It looks so sweet, and the games will be more original than the psps games..like always with nintendo vs. sony. Are you all getting one?

Im getting neither.. but if I were to get one it would be the PSP.. better graphics.

I probably won't get either, but if I was then it would definitaly be the DS.

I would like to get one, but I doubt I would play it at all. I'll be playing my Xbox or on the PC (Umm...Half-Life 2?), and never have time to play a hand-held. But if I did get one, it would definitely be Sony's PSP.

So...neither.

Neither

Handheld gaming devices don't intrigue me. I would be seriously interested in a portable gaming device if it doubled as a good PDA.

DS,

Why?

It's cheaper, better battery life, and will most likely have better games

Neither... but if I were to get one I would get a Gameboy Advance SP. :)

Cheaper.

:)

You know there's going to be some multiplayer Zelda goodness ala 4 Swords.

4 player Mario 64 looks great too - but lack of analogue definately concerns.

Either way - Advance Wars and Mario Kart/Golf/Tennis are bound to appear. Add Wario Ware and a new Animal Crossing and i'm set.

So many games ideally suited to a handheld. Can the PSP boast the same?? (of course not ;))

Neither. If I ever get board and want to play a game to pass the time in the doctors waiting room, or train ride (thats all handhelds are good/made for IMO) I'd just play my cell phone. :p

No, it cant. Plus Super Mario DS (the side scroller) looks sweet too.

I'm a stark, raving, Nintendo lunatic, so I would have to side with them. Besides, the system looks awesome and innovative as well.

Me too, if i had to destroy either my ps2, xbox or gamecube...my gamecube would be the last on the list. I love it

DS..

touch screen..
Interactivity / chat & Oekaki board...
fun..
battery life..

Nintendo makes good RPGs...square enix is the only company that holds sonys rpgs together

DS for sure, im a long hating fan of sony. And nintendo has never let me down so. GOOO DS.
Though i wont buy it, i dont buy handhelds.

if there is a remote chance of me having enough cash for one of these things.. i'd probably get the DSP since i used to be a huge Nintendo fanboy

DS. PictoChat looks very cool. PSP doesn't appeal to me as much either.

I'd go for the DS. The chat features sound promising. The DS itself is pretty innovative.

The PSP doesn't have the battery life, but it sure is sexy as hell.

Most certainly the psp, playing games, watching movies and playing mp3's on one small peice of electronics is worth it, once it drops a hundred bucks, on ebay.

Neither, I usually end up playing these handheld systems non stop once I get them, but after the excitement wears off I barely touch them. So I think I'll save my money for something that I'll use more. Like an Ipod

Yeah, but you have to buy specially made movies to watch on just the PSP which is kind of a waste. And whenyour using all those extra features the battery life goes down the drains to about 3 hours if your lucky. The DS will have just about the same battery life as the gba sp, and it has two screens, one of them is a touch screen, a mic, and it comes with a stylus for the touch screen. Most important of all its price of 150$ is a lot less than the projections for the PSP which will be around 300$ probably.

DS for me I have this strange compulsion where I must buy all things nintendo (yes I have a virtual boy).

way too damn expensive... if i got one i would probably go for the psp just because it will have way cooler games than nintendo

first u say "way too damn expensive" and then go onto choose the PSP.. which is supposed to be more expensive than the DSP :p
contradiction lately? :E

If i get $150 anytime soon, i'll get a DS

Number of Reasons:
1. Better games, Nintendo always have quality games.
2. Battery life is better
3. If i wanted to play ps2, i'd stay home. Handhelds are the one Genre of consoles where graphics havent been a big issue.Handhelds are always great because there's alot of simple yet fun games on them. I mean what other systems are you going to get side scrollers?
4. Cheaper
5. I think sony is pulling an EA with the PSP. They will rely on people to buy just because it's sony, no matter how bad or mediocre the games are
