dude,if your all doing campaign, I'll join you.I don't think I will be on tonight as a few of my mates will be on Halo and I kind of ditched them last night to play with you guys. I'll be on tomorrow, though.
FPS' on gamepads.
...
I never thought I would enjoy an FPS on a console. Somehow though, I don't have a problem working with it in CoD 4.
It does, but it's only very subtle. When you first aim down the sights, it will sometimes 'click' on to someone in your direct line of sight (only a few degrees either way of where you're aiming), which by itself is barely, if ever useful since people are mobile 95% of the time and when they're not they're probably camping and will likely pop you before you get a shot off. There's also a very slight aim "assist" for when you're trying to get a bead on someone who's on the move, but again this is barely ever actually useful by itself, only helpful.Actually, COD4 for the consoles does have autoaim both in singleplayer and multiplayer! :hmph:
Indeed, what autoaim there may be doesn't affect the gameplay at all. You can be on Team Hardcore (one shot kills, give or take) and someone can be looking right down the scope of his M4 at you and still miss. It's all about having your own control over the weapon.
Theres still a challenge in the shot, at least a helluva lot more than being spoon fed your accuracy via pin-point mouse accuracy.
Man, one thing that really pisses me the hell off with this game online is the damn air striking.
Christ, it's way too easy to get them.
They should bump up the number of kills required to 10 or 15.
There's practically a helo hovering above every map all the time.
There's bombing runs every 2 seconds.
So annoying.
