Why all the hate for ff7?

Final Fantasy 9 was also a great game. Vivi was great. I liked that little guy! :stare:

bah - FF6 is where it's at.

I've only known of two ppl who've played both FF6 and FF7 and prefer no.7

(imo FF5 > FF7 too. Old skool ;))

I third that.

I fourth that (huh?)

Nobody talked about FF4 yet, it would probably be the second best game imo. Kain, Rydia and Golbez were cool characters. I'd love to see a remake of that game with the current technology.

Me too :)

That was the first good FF game (very cool setting and great characters/music)

Why did they get rid of the FF title music in later games too? The series lost alot of its magic along with that song :/

Listen and shed a tear :'(

I've played FF6 through and kicked that game's ass. I still like FF7 better. I think the plot and characters were developed better and I love the materia system.

I played FF7 again this summer and got everything I possibly could. I even got Cloud's stats to 255 each (man that took forever - Cloud attacks so damn fast with that). I had 3 master commands, magics, and summons. 6 Knights of the round (for various linking combos on each char in my party) - mime=Counter, KOTR=HP Absorb, W-Summon - Auto-win on weapons :p You start off with just one party member alive when facing Ruby for it to work. You start off with W-Summon KOTR and just let your game sit there. You will get hit, and mime your KOTR 2 times doing so you absorb all your lost hp. It's also fun miming your limits :)

I played through alot of FF6, but I found I was forcing myself to play it after a while. It just got boring, I don't know why. Could have been graphics, but I doubt it, I've played through Chrono Trigger and Tales Of Phantasia no problem.

i think it's the exact opposite, everyone loves 7. they all hate 8 and 10 part 2 and nobody cares about 9, though it's my favourite.
9 was the best by FAR, I never got into 7 and 8 was sort of boring after a while.

For its time FF6 was as good looking as games got - guess it helped to play it at release (personally I love the old FF style, and wasn't a fan of the new look FF7 introduced)

Secret of Mana owns all though. What's better than a sweet rpg?? A sweet RPG that you can share with 2 other mates \o/

If there's anything better than people bashing Final Fantasy nerds, its final fantasy nerds locked in a civil war saying each others favorite final fantasy sucked more than theirs. hehehehe.

Just kidding :E

Haha, my friends hate it when I use the "for it's time" defence for a game :E

I played Final fantasy 3(or 6 whatever) I still thin ff7 had the biggest impact on me

Loved Final Fantasy 8 and 10, didn't really like 9 and never could be bothered to complete it.

I have Final Fantasy 6 but I've never really been able to get into it, that's the thing with Final Fantasy games, you've got to set away a few hours in order to play one, it's not like you can go on for 10 minutes and then come off, they're great time eaters.

nope. not true.

ff7 fanboys are worse than half life 2 fanboys. this coming from a half life 2 fanboy.
