Why are forum games not allowed?

I'm very curious to the reasoning behind this.

Forums games don't harm anything. But, however, they might lead to fun.

And from what I've seen on other forums or forum games here (before they are seen) they very quickly result in members intentionally ruining them, not understanding the game rules or a great deal of spam. Having such a rule isn't that much of a problem is it?

Post count doesn't matter.

I dunno... a few forum games can be entertaining. It's not that big of a deal, but it's not that big of a deal to ban them.

However, it is annoying when searching through a members posts getting loads of 1 worders from some word association game.

1) Create a new section that's for forum games and doesn't increase post count.
2) Posts in that section can be filtered to not show up when searching through member's posts.

Uhh, how is that relevant? We're not looking for a thread to boost post count, we want a game section.

Remember the "HL2 Gold" section? Posts didn't increase post-count there, I don't see why it's a problem now.
